Re: deus ex
Still not really sold on this. They're going to crowbar a new section of story as a "what if" scenario? if it had taken place after the game then yes definitely, or at least yes definitely after it's dropped in price a bit.

Re: deus ex
Keep calm and talk about Deus Ex.
I'm thinking of getting the DLC, but I have heard absolutely nothing about except that it cost $15 or something.

Witty and humorous signature here.
Re: deus ex
So I've done some research. The DLC is supposedly very good but here's some controversy. It sold very well giving developers the green light for charging future DLC at such abnormally high prices.
Still. Not. Buying. It.

Same here. I'll wait for the inevitable 75% off sale next year on Steam.

Heck, if we're lucky, that might even turn out to be Xmas...or maybe the post-xmas lull.

Double-post/semi-necro alert! Also beware of spoilers ahead!
So after umpteen attempts, I finally managed to ***save Malik with only non-lethal means; the hardest part was keeping the Box Guard's explosion from killing any of the Belltower dudes on the ground.*** The fun part is, I still can't remember if I managed to avoid killing any of the intruders in the Sarif labs during the pre-augmented mission, so trying for Pacifist might be a vain effort!

Re: deus ex
I can speak from experience that if you kill anybody at the start, you DO lose the Pacifist achievement. What you're MEANT to do is stealth and run to the end.

Re: deus ex
The save Malik mission does count. But if you knock a dude out and then he gets killed when the bot explodes, THAT doesn't count. I still got the achievement when that happened.
The tutorial mission counts as well, as Darkobra said. It's really annoying because the game doesn't indicate this in anyway. Of course, once you stealth through without being seen you feel like a badass. Not a very good security guard, but a badass.

Re: deus ex
Highly annoying. I considered the start of the game being when I got my augments, struggled at parts, made it to the end and achievement denied!
