At least the madness is back then. Don't know the last time I got so invested in a game/side quest.

You can get back on the site, just replace the lrrcraft.com part of the URL with fugiman.com. It works that way.

Should be fixed. Again, PM or email me if there's a problem. I'm not in the habit of checking the forums due to general life hecticness.

I think everyone just got tired of it. It was a lot of work for whoever was compiling the stats for each week.

I suppose I should step in as one of the hatisticians.

Yeah, this was a lot of work and it eventually came to the time where I would dread thursdays due to the release of Feed Dump and the need to start counting all the scenes.

There was also a loss in how unpredictable the market was after the first few months. Props were used left and right as well as the generation of Rich Uncle Eiko who dangerously went all in on hats just before the 99% HATS episode was proof of the fun that was in the hat market. I've heard a similar experience from our first statistician JackSlack during a LRR Sydney meetup who had similar issues than I did but I'm not going to speak for him.

So, there you have it, my piece for the closing of the hat market.

But I will.

Everything Eiko said. It's just kind of weirdly brutal. You're wanting to get up the info as fast as you can, but there's lot of quick little shots, plenty you can get wrong, and you need to watch episodes a minimum of three times in most cases. (SOMETIMES two, but that's rare.) In very rare cases, I had to actually screencapture the episode, and slow it down afterwards.

There's a reason I burnt out on it, and I'm not surprised those who came after me burnt out eventually too.

And speaking as a player, I found it was fun for a while, but I got tired of it after a few months. It was a fun and interesting game, but once the novelty wore off, it was just a matter of buying the stocks that were low and shorting the ones that were high. When the big crash hit, I decided not to start over like a lot of other people did. I just had no desire to try to build up that wealth again, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted.

Speaking of archives, does anyone have any of the episode by episode spreadsheets still? As in, the actual counts?
