The Hat Market Game
Re: The Hat Market Game
I'd like to roll my shares from hats to hatless, plus throw in another 200$ to hatless and 100$ into wigs.

Re: The Hat Market Game
I don't think hats can possibly increase from here. And prescription eyewear is likely to remain the same.
I'm going to play it safe, put $1000 in "no headwear", and throw in a lucky $300 for non-prescription eyewear. Maybe it's time.

NPEW is at 0% and can't be bid on.

Why you gotta make the rules so complicated, JackSlack?
I will continue to bid on the unbiddable until you allow me to do so.
(Note: Just the $1000 on "no headwear", please.)

The numbers are, BTW:
Hats: 50%.
Prescription Eyewear: 67.19%
NPEW: 0%
Wigs: 6.25
Hatless (Which, just so it's clear, is defined as shots without any headwear): 28.13%.

ffffffffff
lost all the money I sunk into NPEW (anyone else pronounce that enPEEEEEEEW, the PEEEEEEW bit like every lazer from every scifi ever?)
Turned a team profit on PE though, so i think i'm roughly even this week.

I'm shifting my investment plan over to $900 in prescription eye-wear and $700 in no headwear. The majority of the more common forces have prescription eye-wear, so unless we get James & Jer on the couch, I'd call it a safe bet. Also, no way in hell am I investing in hats after haturation.

Ooh, that was lucky! Not as lucky as those behatted bastards, but nonetheless! I shall keep $1 for myself and put $1000 into Wigs and $800 into Hatless. That should bring my profits up nicely, unless we hit haturation next week, too.

Re: The Hat Market Game
The hat-heavy portfolio pays off for the investor!
Barring a joint Kathleen-James force, I can only see them going down from here. I'll throw in a solid $1000 on No Headwear as a safe bet. I honestly have no idea where the market's going to go from here other than down. The remaining funds will be liquid as the haturation really hurts me for choices. If NPEW was still in, I'd invest.
I can't imagine anything other than No Headwear going up this week.

Wow, I bottomed out... Well, only one way to go from here - keep ALL my money in the same place, and hope my luck changes!

Maybe wigs, but that's a long-shot.

If I can hop in at this point, I'll put $800 in hatless, and $200 in wigs.
Re: The Hat Market Game
I'd also like in. I'll go $600 on Hatless and $200 on Wigs, with $200 left in reserve. You know, to retire on.

Re: The Hat Market Game
Nice return. Pretty chuffed. Okay, this week, with three grand to play with...
Sticking with my $500 on hats but I also fancy a punt on the other side, so try $1200 on hatless. Its an obvious risk given how healthy those shares were last week but I'm beefing up my prescription eye wear investment to $600. Since we're playing risks, let's also drop $300 on wigs. That should leave a spare $533 I'll keep back for now.
Cynical enough to reckon this'll blow up in my face.

Re: The Hat Market Game
Hat's can almost only go down at this point, so I'm shifting all of my money from them to the infinitely safe Wigs sector. THIS CAN ONLY GO WELL.

You mean the list Jack posted on Page 2?
I don't see any alternative this week other than to go all in ($4,785) on Hatless.

ah...
my bad.
I'm gonna throw $500 into Hatless and keep $400 in cash. Don't wanna lose it. Can we bet on things going down?

24 hour warning. (And 9 minutes, technically.) Remember that if you don't tell me otherwise, I roll your investments over.
