Steam gifts I need to give away

I crafted my first 7 pieces of coal into one 50% off of Puzzle Chronicles coupon, a game which appears to be Puzzle Quest with a "get large areas of color" puzzle mechanic. Giving it away to whoever wants it.

I (like I imagine many other people) got the Orange Box as one of my gifts.

It includes:

Half-Life 2 Ep 1/Ep 2/Lost Coast
Portal
TF2 but that's free-to-play now so it's essentially null/void

I personally feel no warmth toward the Half-Life series, and I already own Portal/play TF2 so if anyone wants the pack, it's theirs!

Seems that one of the Steam stuff will have to do is a trade, so why don't we hold on to things for now until that achievement thing happens, and then plan trades among ourselves?
Then we can go back to giving each other stuff.

So I've been thinking, and I've realized that some of us need to be better.

I currently am sitting on a gifted game that I have yet to play, and may not play any time soon. Because I've got so many fucking games. And now someone who could have gotten it and played it can't.

Likewise, I've given out a game that has yet to be played. I'm not accusing you of anything, it happens. You have a ridiculous number of games, there is only so much time.

As such, personally, I'm not going to be asking for any more freebies via this thread, and will hope that, unless you plan on playing it (not even a lot, but sometime for it), you don't ask me for a game.

I will be the first to admit, I have not yet played the copy of Section 8 that theDreamer gave me. However, I blame skyrim. Skyrim, and life around the holidays is hectic. I still do intend on getting to it though.

Meh about 75% of my steam list remains uninstalled and unplayed. And all the indie bundles aren't helping matters much. At least I'll never be bored. Except during the downloads.

Honestly, I understand. Like I said, I haven't had time or reason to play Dawn of War 2 yet. I probably will, but I feel, now, that that gift I got could have been better spent on someone else, someone more likely to play the game, and I think the gifts I have to give could be better given. But in the future. I'm happy to help other large collectors fill their large collections, but I also want to help people with small collections fill that out.

I'm not saying we should shun the newbies when it comes to game gifts, but I think it's kinda not cool that people are signing up (as far as I can tell) only to come here and ask for games.

We're a great community - why not join the discussion? You like games? There's an entire forum dedicated to games here! You probably like LRR, since you're here ... We like LRR too! Why not at least give us a chance?

I feel the same way. When I was giving away Dogfighter, I got two PMs in close proximity that wanted it. Not to name any names, but one was a regular with thousands of posts and the other hand less than ten, many of which were in this thread, and I knew they had also gotten several other games. I'm of the opinion that this thread is to share your spare games or give gifts to your fellow LRR community members, not for collecting as many games as you can. There have been a lot of games in here that I've had a passing interest in asking for, but I know I'm likely to only play them once or twice while someone else may really want the game.

Just my two cents on the matter.
