And you get a tormented weapon for doing it all! Fucking NIGHTMARE it is. Not even half way through Prophecies yet!

Wait, what? *checks wiki* Sweeeeeeeet.....

I think I got as far as the Crypt in the Sage Lands last night and that's about it. It's a nice idea though.

Done Prophecies. Eye of the North is WAY easier. Doing that now. I already got my 30 points but, you know, it might actually show in GW 2.

I cleared EoN and Nightfall (with help from you guys) and it didn't show up on the 'How Awesome You Are' progress chart thing. :(

Yeah, you need to go back and explore them. Otherwise I'd have got a torment weapon handed to me the second I logged in.

Oh nightmare. Sod to that. I would try if GW had still an active player base. I'm too pessimistic to bother.

As of today GW2 has been pre-purchased. Later today I'll log back into GW1 to check all of my characters for birthday presents that can be added to the Hall of Monuments.

House Enyo rises again.

What one? And why haven't you got your tormented weapon yet?

All the client.
And because at the time they added Nightmare mode I was still guildless and it's not content which is fun to do solo. I mean, I already finished it and hated it the first time, why would I want to do it a second (unforgiving for mistakes).
So I am quite, unenthusiastic. I'm just angry at GW1 for having so much content I never experienced because the guilds I got into kicked me for inactivity or were inactive. And now it's a quiet game.

You don't need to do it on hard mode. Or even do any missions. You're just revisiting locations or finding new ones.

Like the place in Prophecies that takes you to the crystal desert in Nightfall.

Dark's right. So long as you've completed the campaigns it's fine. It's literally a matter of 'Go to location X at place Y'.

Also YAY! Welcome aboard, Vanguard :)

Alllllso .... there's another stress test today. Same time as usual; 12 Noon til 4PM PST (so 8PM til Midnight GMT).

Stress test? Does that mean they're turning on the download servers for the client? If so I was planning on "cheating" today and going to the Google Fiber Space in downtown KC to download it there.

You can download the game client and its current patches any time you like. But the stress test is the brief period you can log in and play.

Really? For whatever reason the copy of the client downloader I have just doesn't work. For a few seconds it holds at 0/KBs per second before saying that there's something wrong with my internet and calling it a day.

Yes, the beta client and the live client are one and the same, the exact same files, no redownload necessary.

Actually, I've figured it out. It was just an issue of AVG's firewall being a bit overzealous. Working on downloading the client now.

Alrighty. Awesome :)

So, the game seemed to run WAY smoother than last time during the stress test. Spent the test messing about on my elementalist to try and get a feel for the new skills. Also did a bit of the Nobles personal story and tried crafting as well. The latter's way more straight forward than I thought it would be : Get material X to make component Y in order to form item Z. Really liked that you could access your storage and the player market from the crafting station too.

I continued my Guardian. My girlfriend is now an engineer and one of my friends is a thief. And then every time I leaped, INSTANT death! Not even downed! Just DEAD!

My Guardian in its current state feels incredibly weak. But I was level 30 before in BWE 2, now level 10. And I just feel lacking in skills, lacking in power. At least I made my own armour! But it cost me just as much as actually BUYING IT through buying tin alone! And it cost me 200 copper ore to make a full set!

THREE DAYS!

Okay, so I've been re-reading through this thread, and along with seeing my own intentions to finish certain parts of GW1 before launch that simply never happened, I've seen that the plan is for everyone to meet on the Piken Square server. Am I wrong here?
