Yup. It's the official release date. After last night's stress test, they said that they were given the green light to go ahead.

I'm glad for the Asura gates taking me to new starting areas no problem. My girlfriend wants to go from a Norn to a Sylvari. Me? Still going to be a Norn guardian! And still going to be her guardian!

But WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO US! We were strong! Defensive! Weren't very damaging. I could accept that!

Second beta. I die before she does. They FUCKED our defence and gave us raw damage! If I wanted that, I'd play a warrior! Or an elementalist! I WANTED that defensive capability to protect my girlfriend!

Third beta? We'll see if they patched us up. Because as it stands, I'm so damaging I can kill before I'm killed most of the time. That's not what I was going for.

I've replaced Diablo with carrying on with Kingdoms of Amular.
I'm sure I am going to finish that game some day. It's just needlessly expansive and big and linear. So it's hard to just sprint to the end.

Surprise surprise, Guardians were nerfed because of PVP results.

... I'm not level 80. I don't have uber gear. I'm level 20. I don't even have more than vendor gear yet. I'm dying faster than an elementalist! I don't HAVE the skills to defend myself properly yet and I'm not sure what bullshit you're pulling out that all Guardians can take on a load of people! Once again! Level 20! I'm able to take on a load of Ventari ONLY because I'm smart. But against a boss my level? ONE hit! ONE!

ArenaNet at it again. They only do extremes. Now that we're all deleted and have to start over, I'm going to see exactly what magic I can work this time round.

I'm regretful that I never got a chance to try Guardians.

Least I will try Sniper Warriors and hopefully they'll be stupid. I'm worried that Guns are used as support for the other weapons (melee) because there seems to be a slight pressure for warriors to swap weapons regulary when looking at the traits.

Yep, I've been playing a fair amount today, and enjoying it. Helped take a tower and escort some Dolyaks in WvW. Quested up to level 8.

I'm on Anvil Rock (NA).

I was actually surprised to find the weekend started an hour and a half earlier than expected....

Also, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, Tim I'm over on the Tarnished Coast (NA) server with my guild. As I recall though people can actually guest with/whisper to one another regardless of what server they're on.

I'm going to try and do some WvW stuff today. From what I've heard it's kind of similar to the PvEvP stuff they did in Aion, which (while slightly annoying at some points in Aion) is cool.

Really digging the Asura & Sylvari at the minute. Rata Sum is just INSANE. I love it. The Grove is pretty too.

Ranged warrior is surprisingly effective as a stand-alone playstyle.
Gun for single target high damage.
Bow for high AoE damage.

Since it's a gimmicky play-style, it won't be played much and if it's Overpowered, not many players will notice.

I mean you can kite. And any Utility spells that helps a Warrior cancel out enemy kiters, can be used to help Kiting warriors cancel out enemy melee.
