For the next 2 days and 17 hours as of this post, Bundlestars is offering all the Batman Arkham games for €9.79.

Definitely worth picking up if for whatever reason you do not already own them.

Even ignoring Origins (which I've personally avoided because I heard nothing but bad things) that's a better deal than you're likely to get in the upcoming Steam sale. And Asylum and City are both worth playing, yeah.

Might want to give a pass on the 80% off of "Real Horror Stories" though, even though it's only $0.39. :P

What about Hippocampal and Alpha Zylon at $0.99, or One Day for Ched at $2.99? :P

Oh hai Summer sale. Time for me to jump into my austerity bunker and hope I suffer minimal losses.

Speaking of the summer sale, someone pointed out to me that some publishers are making a habbit of raising the base price of a game before putting it "on sale", resulting the same price, but with a shiny sale sticker.

Take this. It's dangerous to go alone.

GTA5 kind of did that by forcing every sale game to be in a bundle. It also had the effect of making the game unreturnable since it came with something that, if I'm not wrong, is redeemed instantly (the cash card).

By the looks of it, it's so far only GTA5 (which forced the bundle) and Gaijin Entertainment (who raised prices).

The other games I've seen mentioned in this controversy don't appear to be price-raising due to the sale at all. (Tabletop Sim had a price increase last week to coincide with leaving Early Access, and XCOM:EU was Steam showing the price of XCOM: Complete for some reason)

Amusingly, "Gaijin" is a Japanese perjorative describing a foreigner who can't be trusted.
It's all over but the crying. And the taxes.

As we active weep for our wallets for the rest of this week... I'm actively seeking trades to complete the Summer Monster Sale card collection.

While I have a few pending trades at the moment, if anybody is look for trades... feel free to check me my collection (you may need to send a friend request to me... just give me a heads up to speed things along).

I'll actively accept straight (1:1) spare-for-spare trades (generally on the same title, but cross-title trades will likely be accepted). More "slanted" trades (2:1 or so) will be considered.

That would probably be easier if you linked your profile...
I'd definitely be up for a trade though, with you or anybody else here that wants to mutually make some badges.

I've temporarily opened up the privacy settings on my inventory to public for the duration of the Steam Sale (keeping gift inventory private, as I'll disclose that stuff on a need-to-know basis)... I'll set it back to "Friends Only" afterwards...

For trades, visit https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=119382961&token=I7--N2gj

If you want to view my profile for friend requests at http://steamcommunity.com/id/TStodden/ to check me out. Again, please state that you're with the Runners or something similar... or at least be in the LRR group on Steam (should you omit it) as I generally look for common threads before accepting requests from "strangers". :D This will also help you avoid getting the cold shoulder.

My thought process: "Oh cool! I can get it for $1! *clicks link* *thinks* *checks Steam* I already own it... Oh cool! I can get it for $0!"

PayDay 2 is free on Steam for some limited amount of time.

And just to clarify, this is free to own forever, not just a free play weekend like they do sometimes.

It's showing as 33% off for me (Western Europe), and that'd be a huge dive in price so it sounds like it's a pricing error.
You should get it before they fix it, because Bayonetta is great.
