Damn it, two games I want right there on the Daily Deal. The Witcher 2 and Alan Wake. This is going to cost me.

Beyond Good and Evil currently £1.50 or so. More than worth it.

Really? I picked it up a while ago and I actually enjoyed it. It's trying something a little different to every other jrpg out there, at least and the PC version is the best version available. The good thing about Rush as the stereotypical dumbass hero is that he actually gets a lot better over the course of the game. For $7.50 you could do a lot worse.

Thaaaat said, Splinter Cell: Conviction is probably the best of the lot on offer.

I don't know what game you're playing - I played what pretty much amounted to a clone of Final Fantasy 12 that insisted on locking me in with unbeatable bosses with no prior warning! And that combat system certainly left a lot to be desired.

Driver: San Francisco is on sale for 75% off, making it only $7.50. It's well worth that in my opinion.

I'll agree that the setting borrowed a lot from Ivalice. The combat system is... different. That's all I can say about it. What I took away from it is that you're trying to command what boils down to an army, giving individual commands to units would end up incredibly unwieldy. It wasn't a great game but I don't think it's as horrible as people make it out to be. Either way, it didn't end up winning so it doesn't matter now. I guess the takeaway from this discussion is "Hit or miss."

As for today... Indie Bundle 9 looks really good but like most of these things, I already have most of the games.

It was 75% off a couple days ago but I very much like your taste.

So what do they have on sale now that the sale is over? Just one of my favorite games, Jade Empire. It's a good game and it's only $3.75. Worth a pick up in my opinion.

I was just about to post that. It's without a doubt my favourite BioWare game. It's plays a bit differently than their others, but it is incredibly fun and well written. Easily one of my all time favourite games. It also almost never goes on sale (last time, when I bought it at the same price, was way back in 2009!), so grab it while you can.

Jade Empire is so good. It's a martial arts game set in China revolving around martial arts, magic, demons and even arena fights!

First off: Borderlands is free to play on Steam this weekend, and has a 75% off discount.

Secondly and much more importantly: Borderlands 2 is up for preorder on Steam and GreenMan Gaming

Now, why would I mention Greenman in what is clearly a Steam thread?

Well, their copy still activates on Steam, it is $50 instead of $60 and if you use the coupon code COSYO-UDIDN-TGET1 or PARTP-ALCNO-TIESU you get 20% off, bringing it down to $40. That should count as a sale of sorts.

Also, if anyone is planning on buying it, and feels particularly nice, they could sign up for GMG using my Referral Link. You would get $2 credit after your purchase, and I would get $2 credit. You could use said credit towards some other cheap steamworks game on GMG, along with whichever coupon code you didn't already use.

Edit: GMG prices adjusted, it is back to being the best deal.

If you missed it during the steam sales, Ys: The Oath in Felghana is 66% off today. Go pick it up, Ys is probably one of the best action RPG series around.

Not finished this game yet but loving it so far. Would definitely recommend it if you like anything like Broken Sword.

Also, Logan Cunningham (Bastion) voices one of the characters.

Yes, that seems to be a bullet-point feature. It certainly looks interesting.

Okay, I'll tell you now; when even a cheap bastid like ME blows the dust off his PayPal account for a sale, it's something:

If by some weird conflux of circumstances you haven't gotten Mount & Blade and/or its 'children', Mount & Blade: Warband is 75% off ($4.99) for the next 46 hours, as is the whole collection of M&B, M&B:Warband, M&B:With Fire and The Sword (as well as the Napoleonic Wars DLC) for just $8.74.

Per here.

Midweek Madness...interesting...

The Mount & Blade series is great. I don't know if you really need anything other than Warband (it's like the original with improvements, and Fire & Sword felt lackluster. Napoleonic Wars is multiplayer only, so I haven't bothered with it.) but it's easily one of my favourite games, and is infinitely replayable. The demo, while a good taste, doesn't do it justice. The game really kicks off once you're at the level where you can lead an army large enough to actually have a chance against enemy lords, take castles on your own, and that sort of thing.

One of my favourite things about it is that it works well as either a complex game to play for hours on end as you trade and politic around, managing armies and friendships and everything, but it's also very good as a background game; I often will play while watching a LRRcast on my secondary monitor, and only giving the game half of your attention is still enough to have fun.

I'd recommend setting the difficulty low to start off with though. I've logged nearly two hundred hours on the series, and I still have it down pretty low. Mind you, I don't like losing. ;)

Terraria is 66% off. I've heard good things about it from friends so I'm getting it while it's cheap.
