No. That was tough. I've probably seen that movie 6 thousand times as a kid. Wore that VHS tape out!

I'm not really in a position to grab a screenshot of anything till late this evening so I'll let someone else go.

Tremors didn't have a body of water nearby; would've been the perfect place to hide from the 'sandworms'.

Uh...Blazing Saddles?

Nope so far, here another shot.

HINT: This is the end of the movie. It's a Western.

That's either a huge headstone, or that's a boy or midget watching 'our hero' leave...dammit, this all seems so familiar, but I'm not big on westerns! :P

Another shot. Although if you don't know what it is by now, you probably haven't seen it.

And yes, in last picture the guy next to the gravestone is a midget.

Oh, GOD! Clint getting confronted while trying to get a shave...

...a midget 'audience insertion character'...

...a whole town painted red...

*wracks brain*

Let'see - can't be Pale Rider because that was in the '80s - this is older...

Not The Good, the Bad and the Ugly because Eli Wallach ain't that short. :)

...uhhhh, I can only read "rest in peace" off the headstone; if I could make out the name maybe that'd twig my memory!!! :(

*closes eyes and throws dart*

There's something we might be missing:

In a film's visual language, the borders on the edge usually mean its someone watching a film IN the film, like the start of Paranorman

Edit: ignore me, the image name suggests it's from tumblr

Also, dib: no glasses though, looks like he has a late 60s perm

What the hell is that in the bottom left? Looks like a blonde wig on that guy shouting 'Kahli Mar' in Temple of Doom

Okay, nobody's got it yet, but Ptangmatik hit on something: this is showing a film being recorded IN the movie we would be watching, and we're looking from the meta-cameraman's perspective.

That's the back of a man's head at bottom left, looking up at the people on the stairs...along with the cameraman. Bottom right is a presumably blonde woman also looking up.

I'll give a hint that no one seems to have picked up on: the people the shot is focusing on (up on the stairs looking down) are black people in whiteface.

Here's another shot showing them better (maybe not from the film itself):

And tumblr is just where I upload these pics to throw the trail off.

intresting, but no. both films did come out in 1970, but it apears that godfrey cambrige did a much better job with his whiteface.

okay, in the film this is a radcial black group that put on this...'experimental theatre' thingy to help whit poeple bettr undrstrand the racial disaprity betwen whites and blacks; the audience gets boot polish put on their faces, then the group - blaks in the crude whiteface shown abive - come in and mistreat and abuse the audience. when they try to flee the secne of the preformance, they meet our protagonsit - w white guy - dressed as a cop, when then continues the 'show' by arresting the 'black' people, on the premise of racial profiling; 'they must have done somethin wrong'.

we see this play out thru the lens of a 8mm camera filmoing the perfomance.

note that this is act two of the film overall; the protagonist fell in with the theater group aftr his own artistic ideas failed, but he's just as disillusoned by this, and drifts off tother things in act three...

Yep.

I guess I rambled on a little too much there with that last; I blame the cold. ;)

I caught the movie some time ago on 'the late show' of a local tv station; rather weird watch - has a real 'film school project' feel to it.
