I've been wracking my brains, from the look of it, its some World War 1 era movie made in the 70s

It was made in the 80's, and set in the post-Great War 20's.

The actors look almost recognizable, but I'm fairly certain I've never seen this movie. It's probably not Quigley Down Under.

I THINK that's Brian Blessed in the last pic. Sifting through his '80s filmography I found a likely candidate in High Road to China, simply because there're biplanes in the poster. But I have NOT seen that movie and I'm still not sure that's Blessed.

And it DOES look rather like Brian

I've watched a bunch of horror movies during the 90s and have no recollection of this scene. Is it a movie we aren't likely to have seen because it was really bad? But was it so-bad-its-good or so-bad-its-unwatchable?
