Sense and sensibility and seamonsters.
Definitely.
This is the bit where they find the bit of tentacle in their tea, where she looks up to the help with a mix of both disdain and shocked confusion.
Two minutes later they're running away from a semi-Chtulian squid monster that has broken free of the underground river flowing under the house.
Mara.

What if Alan Turing came up with the test because he was actually a robot and wanted people to find out?
Re: Name that Film!
Nope!! It is not Sense and sensibility and seamonsters, I didn't even know it was a film, so no Keep guessing, though!

Re: Name that Film!
Judging from the lighting and the film stock I'd say it's a movie from some decades ago. Could just be the pixels playing tricks though.

Poe's Law? Trolling?! Well I never :O
It's totally a thing, and in fact, totally this thing.
Here's the poster for it and everything:
Silly panda, why link a picture if you don't know that it's obviously this?
Mara.
...alright FINE, I'll stop hijacking the entry
I don't think I'm off much on the setting's time period though, it looks very 18th century.
As for the age of the movie, I'd say Bebop makes a good point. It looks rather early, maybe mid-nineties.
Guess I'll leave the rest of the guessing to people that actually have a clue

Cary bald?
FFfffffu-I've seen this.
*wracks brain*
He's a minor role...oh, those goons. What IS this?@!?
It's late and I'm tired; maybe it'll come to me after a good night's rest in the morning.
Good luck people!

Re: Name that Film!
Alright, I was a little busy with work yesterday, and zyxst's birthday today, but after sitting down and staring and rummaging through my mind for a couple of hours, I'm pretty certain what it is.
I knew Cary had to be in a small role, because I'd remember him bald in anything more prominent (and almost remembered him in THIS).
Then the asian thug-gunman guards, but they're in western suits, not garb like him, so they're not HIS guards. And I tried to remember the movie (I was starting to think Tropic Thunder but no, the villains weren't this formally dressed, and CHT isn't in that one).
And then it hit me - the curved doorway - it's a (truncated) circle.
Round.
Ball.
Asian setting.
Ping-pong.
Balls of Fury where the nemesis has a secret compound in remote Asian jungle, with plenty of armed minions around.
UGH! That was a real chore!
