 Are we allowed to use those kind of movies?

Oh, don't worry; it was a critically-acclaimed mainstream film. And the MPAA actually let it slide with an 'R'...

Nope. Older.

...interesting guess, tho!

Ah, in that case it's quite clearly Tetris.

Ahhh...I can see where you came to that conclusion; the similarity of theme, and the cinematography of each use certain techniques that have since become de rigeur, but no; this film precedes Alexey Pajitnov's puzzle game.

Here's a hint: the shot of the film shows an ad in an underground newspaper. This ad is demonstrating the 'abilities' of the two protagonists of the film, and their invitation of 'swingers' to come to them for entertainment.

Ahh, it's quite clearly a movie about a chess tournament.

Having Googled the names in the ad, I believe I can name the film.

According to the text I found that accompanied that screenshot, the budget didn't run to a prop paper so they actually ran that ad in a national paper.

All right, here's another shot from the movie:

Okay, I'm being too obtuse; time for a clue (that will probably give it away):

The second picture is what happens to those 'swingers' that the protagonists lure into their apartment...

Oh, well - Keab? Make your 'guess'; it'd be better than me clogging up the flow of the game (I really didn't think this film was that obscure...)

It might be a bit old, I guess?
1982 is not exactly last Thursday.

And they can't all be easy, where would be the fun in that? :D

Mara.

Okay so after researching I found it out, but I feel like that's cheating so I wont say what it is. >_<

No one else has got it so far so I don't think it'd be a problem

My Googling suggested Eating Raoul.

There we go! Sounds like others resorted to googling; I guess the fault is mine. Image

Anyways, your go, Keab!

I shall endeavour to screencap something tomorrow. Failing that I'll risk a quick shot of the screen when I go see Die Hard 5

A more recent film. You'll probably guess it in one:

I'm just taking a shot in the dark. I have no idea.

Hmm... I'm not sure. The fact that whatever's going through the dust clouds makes me think it either involves the military, or is set in a Mad-Max style world. I'm personally going to guess Eagle Eye, but I've never actually seen it so I'm not sure.

Nope. I've picked a somewhat misleading shot. I suggest looking at it full size.

...Is it one of the Transformers movies? I dunno, never saw that either. I'm just not sure what it could be. *shrug*
