Would I Lie To You
With the success of JackSlack's 'lying game' thing, I thought I'd try adapting another TV show format about lying to forum use, this time based on the UK show 'Would I Lie To You'. The rules are as follows:
1. A person is appointed to have their turn at playing the defendant
2. In a private message, the defendant sends me (or whoever else may end up moderating in the future) a true fact about themselves
3. I will then post a message to the forum, which will either be the fact in question or a complete fabrication that the defendant has never seen before.
4. Other forum members will then get a chance to question the defendant about their lie; they can ask any question they like, so long as it is directed towards the defendant (not anyone else mentioned in the 'fact').
5. The defendant must answer all the questions posed to them within a 24-hour period. Once that time is up, the questioners get a further twelve hours to decide whether they think the 'fact' is TRUE or a LIE, and to post as such onto the forum.
6. Once the 12 hours is up, the defendant reveals the truth, and a new person is appointed from among the successful guessers to become the defendant.
...it's a little complicated, but I reckon it could be a decent laugh. Before we actually start playing, how many people would be vaguely interested in it as an idea?

I am interested, but I dunno if I'd be able to participate - work's getting demanding and free time is dwindling; I'd love to sit back and watch from the cheap seats, tho!

Meh, that'll be enough to start with. Since he got there first, Smeghead gets first dibs at being defendant. Send your PM ASAP!

Well then, send me something mildly dull when it's your turn and I'll make up something interesting

A bit more complicated, but sure, sounds fun. Between the two games, though, people are going to learn a lot about each other.

I'm not joining until I see how it plays out at least once, as the rules are a little confusing, without having seen the show before.

S'fine Smeg. Anyway...
Smeghead was once hit by a speeding car; he survived relatively unscathed, but the car wasn't so lucky.
Ask your questions!
(One thing that I forgot to mention is that the defendant is supposed to try their best to hide the truthfulness or otherwise of their statement, but I guess most of you got that anyway)

Re: Would I Lie To You
If I recall correctly it lost one rear-view mirror, had the hood buckled, and the car had to be towed so I assume something more important in the engine took a beating as well.

Re: Would I Lie To You
Can you just explain the incident in question so we've got something to ask about?

Right so this was back in 98 or 99 (I don't remember for sure) during late autumn when the first snow had just fallen; making the roads very slippery. I was on my way back home from school when the car came down the road behind me -clearly going over the speed limit-. The driver (young guy, who had probably just received his driver's license and thinking he was god on the road) didn't have winter tyres on and when he tried to brake; the car started swaying all over the road.
I panicked and tried to get away but failed. the details are a bit fuzzy from there, but the next thing I remember is being pinned between the car and a tree in the ditch beside the road. Luckily I got loose and only had some minor broses.

Ah yes, how foolish of me. your logic is cutting into my story.
That would be if you had any logic
Is that from the latest RD series? I don't remember that joke

To be fair, Feed Dump taught me something similar about Canadian car accidents.
As for a question... were you take to the hospital after the accident?
