The mega-evolutions of Manetric, Aggron and Gardevoir might affect your choice.

I love Manetric, but its megaevoltion looks too hardcore.

I've designed a team around my favourites (aesthetically) and type-balance. My Team covers types that can super effect all singular types.

Houndoom (Fire/Dark Gen II)
Alakazahm (Psychich Gen I)
Aggron (Steel/Rock Gen III)
Galvantula (Bug/Elec Gen V)
Dragalgae (Poison/Dragon Gen VI)
Swampert (Ground/Water Gen III)

(No Gen IV Pokemon)

I will have to wait in till Pokebox is released as I cannot get them all. I will use this time to work out what I want each Pokemon to do. And then decide how patient I can be with waiting till Dec 27th.

I'm getting bored grinding the elite 4 with my play-through team and your daily rival battle.
Especially since my Blaziken has poor rolls on stats and natures.

Guess I can work on my perfect Dragalge...

At some point I'll be able to afford Pokemon Y, and then it will be Nuzlocke time.

Wonder trade is great for disposing of bad breeds.

It really is, and if you're breeding something neat, you get to feel like Santa. It's like, everyone gets a Larvitar with a max Attack IV!

However just got a level 1 Houndour for my level 1 Houndour...
Ah well... more trainer IDs for the lotto rite?

HOUNDOUR FOR ALL

Finally got a Houndour with a Rash/Mild/Modest nature (Mild).
Time to hatch the rest and see if I get the idealised Modest Houndour.

i am playing through X and loving it. i played black and white and hated how horribly pixelated the sprites were. but now battles are glorious to look at. i always liked digimon so mega-evolving is awesome in my book. but some of the evolved forms are a bit lazy IMO. some look cool but some are just the same thing covered in horns.
taking my time with the game and only just got 4th badge. never got into the competitive battle scene but its so easy to do know i probably will give it a shot

I never liked the style of D/P/Pl and B/W/2. To me, R/S/E was beautiful. it was at the limit of beautiful pixel sprites. Then the former came around and essentially made everything look like it's lower quality.

I love X and Y because it aesthetically looks pretty again.

Got my Alakazahm max speed and SpAt. Now giving my Houndour SpAt.

I don't understand that, personally. I happen to think Klefki's design is kinda neat. A fairy that collects keys seems entirely within keeping for the type, feels kind of like something you could blame losing your keys on. Can't find my keys... Fairies must have got them. But actual appearance-wise, I can't say it looks all that bad, either. I'm just reminded of all the Pokemon that are piles of slime/a pokeball/whatever Dunsparce actually is, and Klefki starts looking better and better.

The Candyfloss Pokemon almost was as bad as the Ice Cream Pokemon.
But at least it evolves into a very indulgent creme-profiterole thing instead of two candyflosses.

I still find Manetric's Mega evolution hilariously over the top. MEGATHUNDERBOLTPOKEMON.

My Aggron is too big to fit in the bottom screen in Pokemon Amie. Therefore I have to gentle pet its crotch to gain affection points.

Thank you Pokemon Company, I feel dirty.

I bought Pokemon Y for Nuzlocke Challenges, but first, I decided to embark on the Wonder Trade Challenge! The Wonder Trade Challenge, for those unfamiliar, is where you get your starter, catch five Pokemon, and then wonder trade all six of them. You can only use those six Pokemon to win the game.

I feel like I'm off to a great start. Here's what has happened so far:
Chester the level 7 Chespin -> Level 1 Honedge
Beatrice the level 3 Bunnelby -> Level 3 Japanese Riolu
Terrane the level 2 Fletchling -> Level 30 Japanese Ledyba
William the level 3 Scatterbug -> Level 16 Japanese Helioptile
Tricia the level 3 Bunnelby -> Level 16 Japanese Zigzagoon
Harold the level 2 Fletchling -> Level 23 Japanese Carbink

(I find my results to be consistent with my experience with Wonder Trade so far. I've never received a Weedle this way)

First game since Diamond/Pearl that I have got invested in. (Somehow Black/White/2 I labouriously played through the storyline and did very little after that).
Super Training makes EV training accessible (but not necessarily quicker, but it's an alternative that lets you see what's going on).

It looks pretty in all cases. Prettiest it's been since the Gameboy Advance games.

You don't notice the lack of new added Pokemon since oldies make an appearance logically. The newies are seamlessly involved with the oldies.

Only gripe is that the end game is the bare minimum of what you need. It has all the features to let you train a team for online play, but has very little in-game activities.

The Looker quest chain and Megastone hunt is pretty much is. As well as two Legendaries barred in less you have Championess. The 3 legendary birds return, but I didn't get excited about that. I already have 2 of each on my Pokemon White.

Wonder Trade (which is a blind trade with a random player) is a great way to get rid of failed breeding attempts and to get trainer IDs for the lottery/chance to get a Pokemon you wouldn't otherwise get (I got an Alakazam).

There was a reason I hadn't posted my FC here yet but I can't seem to recall what it was. Ah well.

FC: 4055-3883-7257

Also, does anyone have advice for EV training a Vulpix, Absol, or Mareep? I'm not really into the competitive scene, but a friend wants to try out the multi battles.

Fraxure, Noibat, and Sligoo, oh my. I'm sad to say that my friend safari is not as exciting as yours.
