Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
So people are reacting differently, trying something new. That's good, makes the game harder, more difficult to predict. I know i'm not acting to form because I'm not voting for everyone in sight and shouting non sequiturs at people

I suppose it could just be that some people have less free time or they're trying out a different playstyle, but we can't exactly sit around and do nothing out of fear that we'll misinterpret someone's motives.

Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
I see you have me coming and going, though. I've been a bit busy with work, so it's suspicious that I haven't been defending myself much. On the other hand, if I was defending myself, I'd be acting like a mafia member. So whether I defend myself or not, I look more suspicious.
Also, I gave my reasoning for voting for Ptangmatik over and over again, so you'll have to stop arguing that I did it for no good reason. I found his role playing very suspicious.

I'm taking a more go-with-the-flow approach this time. The last 2 games I spent a lot of time doing the math, or double guessing everything. It worked ok, but required a lot of attention.

Alright. At the moment, we seem to be moving in circles. So, I suggest an FOS round. Let's see where people's minds are.
FOS: ... Duckay.
Sorry, angel.

Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
I believe it means "finger of suspicion" . Essentially it means that you think someone is suspicious but don't want to vote to lynch them now. JackSlack is asking us all to speak up and say who we find most suspicious.
Right now, my FOS is ThrashJazzAssassin, because the more I think about it, the more suspect I think his play is. He has clearly given some thought to it and singled out a person who he can reasonably argue has behaved suspiciously without drawing undue attention to himself. He then followed this up by saying:
Followed by:
Or, in other words, the fact that I was not worked up about the accusation was "odd" and made me suspicious. However, if I was "acting the part of injured innocence", he has made it clear that this would also make me suspicious.
So, in a nutshell, he targeted someone with reasonable if somewhat thin justification, but then spun the story so any response would be seen as evidence of guilt. That's enough to make me suspicious of him, because it's a very powerful mafia play.

ThrashJazzAssassin wrote:Agreed, good mafia players do tend to be skilled at acting the part of injured innocence. But it's the lack of that kind of behaviour I'm talking about here. Which is... odd.

Trying to toss other players in a Catch-22, eh? Huh...
I'm going to FOS Hephaestus at the moment, just because I feel he's being particularly responsive, which is in and of itself suspicious, although I think some good points were brought up about Thrash.
However, there are other players that haven't posted at all this day, and I still don't think anybody is acting out enough for us to favor over lynching nonactives.

Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
I'm inclined to agree with Duckay, Thrash seems a bit too sure of his decision, but I don't get the sense he's an investigator. That said, I also see the logic of targeting someone inactive.
Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
I'm not really sure what I think about Duckay. Her behaviour on Day 1 was certainly a bit odd, but I don't know if that's enough to take her down. Her jumping on the lynch train almost seemed too obvious, but who knows. Nobody else has really jumped out for me so far, to be honest.
Re: BASTARD mafia Day Two
It's annoying. In the 'choice' between Duckay and Thrash I really don't like either of them for mafia...

Really, Tapir? Not even me? Because I can't deny I've been throwing my weight around. (Sadly, this tends to happen when I have enough free time on my hands and people question my decisions.)
However...
Nope. Not what happened. It was Heph who was saying mafia players can be good at convincingly protesting their innocence. I agreed, but pointed out that people weren't protesting as much as I expected, which was what I found suspicious. I would never have started this entire train of thought if more people had objected sooner to my original suspicions of anyone voting for Ptangmatik.
I'm not currently singling you out, anyway. I voted for you yesterday, and that's partly why your name came up again today, but I'm not casting my vote yet; I'm keeping an eye on everyone on my list. It's Jack and aeric (both of whom are also on the list, I haven't forgotten) who brought up your name this time round.
However...

Speaking a lot is suspicious? or possibly i'm just a very verbose person who never really learnt how to filter my thoughts so they don't all come tumbling out my mouth
As for my FOS, that sadly lies at Thrash's feet

If anything my FOS is Jack, simply because I don't get any evil vibes from Thrash or Duckay, and this FOS round seems la good way to choose between two people while conveniently leaving him out of the firing line. Granted this is mostly paranoia talking.
Do you guys mind. I'm trying to write an essay
Its probably not a good thing I feel the need to put a disclaimer after everything I say
This is a thing my and my friend run.

I've used FOS rounds in previous games. It's mostly an attempt to push along a moribund day. I'm not seeing an overwhelming favourite though. So... Any suggestions?

If push comes to shove, I'd say Thrash, but I don't like the claim.

Thrash and Duckay are the only people who have really put themselves (or, each other) on the radar.
