(For some reason, I can't edit the first post for an update. I'll look into that.)

As Dawn of Day 3 breaks, the night was eventful.

A medical alert sounded soon after Gamma Shift started, and Medics rushed to find Aeric90 lying on the floor, bleeding from a through-and-through wound from some long, pointy object. They rush him to Sickbay and heal him, keeping him from dying.

Later, the body of korvys is found in a hallway. He has incidental cuts on various parts of his body, a stab wound in his chest, and his throat has been cut. The stab wound is approximately in the position where a Human's heart would be, though korvys was Saurian, and it only nicked his lungs.

Dangit, I hope our commander survives this!

On first inspection this all seems to tell us nothing helpful. Anybody got any good ideas?

It's clear that whoever is behind this is targeting our command, but that they murdered the ensign as well is troubling. Did he do something to make them angry, or are they targeting people at random?

Upon reviewing the evidence, Ensign Korvys hasn't said a word since our initial roll call. Perhaps whoever murdered him was merely disappointed that he seemed unphased by these events. They want to instill panic, so they're eliminating the calmest people.

But the fact that they failed to kill the commander gives me some hope. They are clearly not perfectly effectual, and that means they will make mistakes, and we will find them soon.

This is also fascinating. We've had two attempts both nights. This strongly suggests that there's more than one person exerting an effort to kill. I also have reason to suspect that there may be subversive influences outside of the changelings to consider.

Either way, none of this much matters. Preacher has escaped and we must take all possible measures to hunt him down and bring him to justice.

Agreed, we can't let this go any further.

Although it is very difficult to speak from my recovery bed I can assure you all that I am still alive and that Preacher was behind the attack. It was only due to a precaution on my part to set a medical monitor on myself that my injuries were discovered in time. I suspected that I would be the target of a retaliatory attack.

Our security teams need to be on high alert.

Is there any evidence that Preacher is or is not still around after last night's cowardly attack? After all, I doubt he was acting alone...

JackSlack, I don't think that's not going to work. I'm going about to bet that someone here has the ability to set a trap for him by protecting the right person.

Preacher was the only one who attacked me and I'm fairly certain he is still around.

Aeric90: Huh. Intriguing idea. I'll stick with my vote for now, but yeah. Maybe we can't vote him out. Would make sense.

Good to see you're doing ok Aeric90. I always wanted a promotion to station commander but not like this.
The stress is starting to get to me I feel worse now than when I went to sleep last night, must have been thrashing about half the night and that's when I could even sleep, we need to get these guys soon.
Anyone got any ideas?

I believe it's imperative that we find this 2nd killer as soon as possible. Whoever can catch Preacher knows what they need to do. The other person is up to us right now and unfortunately I'm all out of tricks.

It seems to me that these changelings prefer to sow the seeds of deceit rather than remain silent. So I don't know if that will get us anywhere.

The best we have to go off of now, in my opinion, is anyone who didn't vote for Preacher.

Well the people who voted for preacher were aeric90, Jamfalcon, JackSlack, Dutch Guy, Hepheastus, Master Gunner and Genghis Ares.
That leaves
Duckay, Tapir12, ThrashJazzAssassin and Elvor

Although I don't think that's wholly reliable as people may have wated to vote for Preacher but he was arrested before they could

Obviously it's not a great indication of guilt, but I think it could help narrow down possibilities.

Well the only one who's been silent has been Elvor, might be a place to start

I'm also not convinced that the 2nd killer is working with Preacher. But being AWOL is as good a reason to make an arrest as any.

I would agree with that. If nothing else, we're sending away a bit of dead weight that's just slowing down the voting process.

Voting total:

Preacher: 1 (JackSlack)
Elvor: 3 (Hepheastus, Jamfalcon, Genghis Ares)

With 11 left, 6 votes are needed to arrest.
