The obese man appears to be dual wielding foot long turkey sandwiches while simultaneously eating another and talking between bites.

Going on AdmiralMemo's suspicions if the choice is between Korvys, Tapir12, Ptangmatik and Conoros. May we perhaps investigate Ptangmatik? The one whose first action was to divert and investigate another
Do you guys mind. I'm trying to write an essay

Its probably not a good thing I feel the need to put a disclaimer after everything I say

If That Is What You Wish, Then So Be It, But It Is Not An Optimal Course Of Action

Change Vote: Investigate Ptangmatik

"Apologies for my silence, gentlefolk" said the Mee-ko. "I was so stunned by yesterdays events that I retreated into a deep meditation. I return now to see the bloodshed not ended, but flowing more greatly than before. These are indeed dire circumstances. Let us come together to weather this storm."

She takes a seat and continues speaking softly.

"Investigating those most suspicious seems the best course of action. We cannot risk losing an innocent to our own hands and becoming like the evil ones."

Vote: Investigate Ptangmatik

"but I am willing to alter my vote should more information come to light."

"More death?" The fruity fowl gasps. "This is bad. Real bad. I agree we must find the source of guilt, so that we may have peace once more. It makes me glad that we know who is not our foe, though it does mean we still lack truth. The one who brought death is still here." He looks to Ptangmatik and nods slowly. "You come forth by choice. Brave, makes you look good. Could be a ploy, though. Worth a look."

Vote: Investigate Ptangmatik

"Wait, hold! Wait, hold!" JackSlack seems agitated. "Answers we seek; we're moving too fast on this option. Explore fully, not all options are bound up in this metal investigator. To clarify, the computer I mean rather than Ptangmatik. This is my plain meaning: Does anyone have information of their own before we continue?"

I Was Not Able To Gather Any Information Worth Sharing. I Believe I May As Well Say My Role As It Will Soon Be Discovered Anyway:

I Am Acting As A Doctor In The Night Cycle As My System Does Not Have The Same Consciousness Alteration Procedure As Organic Lifeforms,

I Protected Conoros Last Night, To No Avail. I Will Not Take Suggestions As To Who I Should Protect Tonight, As I Cannot Be Sure Of Anyone's Loyalties.

I Believe This Admission Puts My Existence At Risk, And This May Well Be My Final Day Cycle.

If That Is So, Then I Bid You All Farewell.

(Just a heads up, given the way Jack's post is worded, we don't have enough votes to end the day yet I believe. We have five of ten. Six are needed to finalize a vote. Unless I'm counting wrong, that is.)

When the voting came to an end, there was a loud hum. The computer, which had been silent the entire time, sprang to life. "Majority vote reached. I will begin my investigation immediately." With that, images began to fill the screen, much like the night before. Flashing lights overran the senses of those who watched. Images, documents, and the like went by faster and faster. "The night cycle has begun. Please rest." The computer said calmly.

Again, the lights dimmed just enough to give the ambience of night time. Many headed off to their rooms. Others to get some food after the long day. But either way, it was likely to be a nervous night ahead once more.

(Given the prolonged wait, I'm only give the night cycle about three more days. If it requires more than that, I might oblige, but don't take too long if you need to get in touch.)

The morning came, as many had done before it. By now, meeting in the main hall had become customary. A sense of dread accompanied that custom. But as the group stepped into the hall, a sinking feeling filled the guts of many.

Two bodies lay next to the podium today. Approaching the podium revealed the individuals who had met their end... Korvys and My Pseudonym is Ix.

The computer lit up, showing the face from the morning before. The gentle hum of the computer helped calm the room to some extent. "I have completed my investigation of PTANGMATIC. I have also finished my investigations of KORVYS and MY PSEUDONYM IS IX."

"Looking into PTANGMATIC showed evidence of his joining the religious faction after his rediscovery. He seemed to have been taught many healing arts, making him a superb healer. This evidence leads me to believe he has been acting as the DOCTOR, healing those who may have been injured during the night." The robotic voice smoothly stated.

"MY PSEUDONYM IS IX served a similar function to SMEGHEAD. He is believed to have been a member of the RULES FACTION with no special abilities." Again, it gave a slight pause. The sides of the screen held some information found for the deceased, as well as some information on Korvys as well.

"KORVYS was found to have been a member of the TRUTH-SEEKER faction. His skill with investigations lead to him being nominated to join the group here. After the first death, he had begun investigating individuals every night. He acted as a DETECTIVE for the group. Unfortunately, I do not have any information on any findings he might have had before his untimely demise."

With that, the computer whirred down, until it was silent once more. The day had begun once again.

"Distressing this is," mutters JackSlack as he listens to the computer whirr into silence. "The body count grows larger. My distress grows, the killers have found one who might have solved this for us. Might we hope; is another truth-seeker among us?"
