Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
I agree. There are too many unknowns at the moment. I based my vote on the idea that trying to vote someone out now would simply be taking a stab (lynch?) in the dark.

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
Since none of y'all dinguses want to believe anything I say, then the time for words is over. I challenge the "real 4 of Clubs" to step forward.
Since I don't expect to survive the night, you'll see that I am telling the truth. Then, you can go after korvys and his 2 lackeys, Ix and Jam. (And also anyone else who claims to be the 4 of Clubs.)
If I miraculously survive both a lynch and the Mafia, I've been considering simply voting and saying nothing else. My cards are already on the table. There's nowhere else to go for me. But, if I'm going to be a martyr, at least I'll take you chumps with me.
(You wanted cards on the table and you've got it. This is who I am IRL. I'm honest. I'm passionate. I get aggressive when falsely accused, and I tend to shut down when overloaded.)

AdmiralMemo, I just want to take a moment to say that I don't think anyone suspects/suspected you on the basis of thinking you're a dishonest person, or anything like that. And certainly I doubt anyone accused you as anything personal. Mafia in general is a game of deception, so people tend to play with the expectation that townsfolk may be honest but mafia may lie and they'll probably say the same things to that end.
Frankly I don't know if your defensiveness is sincerity or a hell of a bluff.

(I haven't/don't have time to really formulate a posts and look through things, but my vote wasn't for a no discard. It was basically turning my vote back to neutral. I just did a quick count and it looked like you have one extra, and if it's from me, I just want that to be clarified.)

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
I'm inclined to believe Memo and keep my vote for noone. If for no other reason that there isn't any hard evidence except from speculation. As for "Korvys and his 2 lackeys" well its the same problem, all we have is speculation. But if they are Mafia, then it would be a pretty weird play for them to blatantly play follow the leader on the first day. It gives us too much information. Now there's a chance one of them might be mafia, and hopes to go unnoticed with one/two townies, but I don't think all three are.
Do you guys mind. I'm trying to write an essay

To be honest, and breaking my "plan" of drawing no more attention this way this round, if we were playing in person, I think a lot of hands would go up to discard you to call your (possible) bluff.
That being said, I think that we should give the Aces and the Joker this turn and vote no discard (as I'm doing) due to lack of information. Klilling someone at random we have a 10/14 = 5/7 chance of killing an innocent, thus making their lives one round easier.

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
Preacher, we'll never have hard logic unless an investigator who actively hits the mafia comes forward and reveals themselves. And that's not necessarily a good thing unless they just name all three mafia or can be protected by the doctor. The point of these games is that we DON'T have all the information. So we have to work with what we have. Waiting until tomorrow when we'll just have two dead players doesn't help that at all.
Again, that's why I think not doing something on the first day is a mistake.
(Also, for someone who just said they're busy, I managed to make a pretty big post... I should get back to work.)

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
I'm with Kapol on this. It doesn't make sense to me to delay. There are more threats than helpful people, and it's probably in the latter groups best interest to keep their identities quiet for the time being.
And Memo, my voting for you is nothing personal. Out of everyone, your actions have struck me as the most suspicious. As Duckay said, Mafia is a game of deception. Everyone's word needs to be questioned, because that's often all that there is to go on.

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
With no-one stepping forward to contest Memo's claim, I think it would be safe to say he is who he says he is. There would be no benefit to another player if they were the 4 of clubs to not step up.
My actions were not personal, Memo, I believe in your real-life honesty, but this is a game where you may have been told to lie, and I believe you would play that role with all the same passion.
Discard: No Card

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: Day 1
I completely understand why several people don't like the idea of wasting a day. I'm not big on it either, but I would still rather not lynch someone on the off-chance they're mafia. I think who goes, if anyone, during the night will provide more useful clues then the current thread on its own.

I'm never of a fan of the no move first day but I'm even less of a fan of the stalled out first day. So I'll go with the crowd.

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
This is interesting. Memo has avoided being discarded, and we have lost our vigilante. This early on, this could prove an issue

Re: Cards on the Table Mafia: 2nd hand, Daytime
I cant really be too upset about loosing the Vigilante this early, they normally do more harm than good. Still it would have been nice to lose at least one Ace before they were discarded
