Harry Potter Mafia: Day Five - DARK WIZARD VICTORY

Posted: 17 Jun 2014, 19:34
by Duckay
There have been rumours circulating that Lord Voldemort, whoever he is, has been steadily growing in power. Alarmingly, you all received an owl this morning from the Ministry of Magic informing you that there is evidence that Lord Voldemort has been making use of the Imperius Curse to make innocent people do his bidding. You must all be on the look-out for any suspicious activity and report this immediately to the authorities.

You have the option to vote to arrest up to one person per day who is showing signs of being associated with dark wizard activity. The Auror office will take it from there.

The players are as follows:

Korvys
Jamfalcon
JackSlack
Prospero101 - innocent, security guard
Phailhammer
Tapir12
Preacher
Aeric90
Lysander - innocent wizard
ArchieO - innocent vigilante
Hephaestus - Dark Wizard

The first day will end with a majority vote or after 6 days. A vote of 6 is required for a majority. (The time limit on each day is equal to the number required for a majority vote, in real world days.)

Bah, it was only a matter of time before another one of these sorts showed up again. Let's try to figure this out as soon as possible so our lives can return to normal.

Wait, the Ministry of Magic are saying we should be alarmed? Good gosh, the world is ending!

First, let's put on a pot of tea. Tea always helps.

I may even have to close up my cauldron shop a bit early.

Hm, no. That's going too far. Let's not panic.

I'm a bit worried about all this. I'm just hoping it blows over before it blows up.

Even my owl seemed a bit freaked out when the message came. Anyone know any spells to block curses?

Protego, the shield charm is our best bed, although it won't help from a surprise attack

The Shield Charm is handy, except if they start using unforgivable curses, in which case, there is very little defence

That's because that's not a wand, it's a twig. Honestly, Hogwarts is letting just about anyone through these days.

Are you insinuating something about my lineage? That sounds like elitist dark wizard talk to me!

I'm sure we'll be fine. What would dark wizards want with us?

Vote: No lynch.

There are still some people who haven't shown themselves, I say we give them a bit more time then send one of them to the Aurors if they don't show

I can't really blame them, what with way things are right now. No one can fully trust anyone.

Edit: Damn muggle phones. -_-

What's all this, then? Can't a fellow doze in his cupboard in peace? Dark wizards? What, did they forget to light the torches or something?

You ask me, mate, the Ministry has two modes: an insistence that "EVERYTHING IS FINE" when it clearly isn't, or an insistence that "EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE" when, in fact, everything is fine.

We have nothing to worry about.

It's seems to have been that way ever since that Gerhard guy became Minister.

Folks, you ask me, I think we should just kick back with a nice book and a warm cuppa until all this paranoia blows over.

Vote: No arrests

Well, I'll be in the pub, but it's a good plan all the same.

Ehh, I don't know about all of you, but if there's a bunch of Imperius'd chumps wandering around ready to off us in our sleep, I'm not going to just sit quietly and wait for 'em.

We haven't yet heard a word from Lysander or ArchieO, I say if they're not going to help us root out this problem, they may as well be part of it. If there's trouble about, I want the Auror's to start doing their work as soon as possible.

Ohboy, someone's got Jam in a tizzy again. Do NOT bring up wand control if you don't want your ear talked off for the next hour and a half.
