This is the second time in a row someone has voted to arrest themselves. I can't help but think that's important. Since we need to do something any things are getting weird I'm going to other way...

Arrest: Jamfalcon

Whatever gets us working.

CHANGE ARREST: Jamfalcon.

Alright, clearly my strategy isn't working, so I'm putting all my cards on the table. I'm town aligned. I have no special powers I can activate, but I do have an incredibly secure home. If anyone tried to visit me in the night for any reason, they'd be the one in for a deadly surprise.

So here's the deal. I hope people believe that I'm telling the truth, because I know my actions have always been taken with the best interest of the town at heart. But if I am going to be arrested, I want this information out there before all votes are cast. Dark wizards, you now know that trying to come after me at night will spell your doom. If you want to take me out, you need to do it during the day.

Make your decisions as you will, just know that if I'm carted off, my story will be confirmed and you will look incredibly suspicious for pushing to get me out of the way. If I go, I hope all the good wizards who remain take it upon themselves to use the information my arrest draws out wisely.

And to follow up with my suspicions, and in the interest of self defence:

Arrest: JackSlack

Something probably better than nothing, I suppose?
Arrest: Jamfalcon

(Technically your time is up; can I just get a quick answer though, do you feel as though the given time was sufficient? I'm not so much concerned that no conclusion was drawn in and of itself but I'm wondering if people felt like 4 days for 7 people was too few?)

I'm still suspicious of both Jamfalcon and JackSlack, but JackSlack slightly moreso.

Arrest: JackSlack

Okay, I know no one has replied to my question but I read over some of the previous mafia threads and the Signup thread and am seeing people in favour of strict time limits with no one arguing against.

So with that, the Ministry-instated curfew begins and everyone is shooed off to their homes. No arrests were made today. Night is falling: all those with night actions please PM me.

(Ignoring the context of the current game, yeah, I think the cut-offs should in general be enforced as close to the appropriate time as possible.)

Day has dawning. The city is overwhelmed by dark wizards. Voldemort himself is standing above them, his voice booming. His people have won.

The game is over.

Huh. That's unexpected. So... I *was* telling the truth about my role this last day. Was I onto anything with my guesses yesterday?

Good golly. So, what happened? o.o

They made me do it! ;_;

(I was regular town, then cursed the night before last.)

Okay, here's a bit of a play-by-play.

On day one, the roles looked like so:
Korvys: Townsfolk
Jamfalcon: Paranoid (if someone targets him in any way at night, they die)
JackSlack: Townsfolk
Prospero101: Security Guard (can protect one person per night)
Phailhammer: Townsfolk
Tapir12: Dark Wizard (has the power to kill or Imperius one person per night)
Preacher: Immune to Imperius
Aeric90: Townsfolk
Lysander: Townsfolk
ArchieO: Vigilante (can kill one person per night)
Hephaestus: Investigator (can find out the actions of one person per night)

The Imperius curse worked in such a way that instead of killing someone, Tapir12 could put them under the Imperius curse. Anyone cursed became allied with the Dark Wizards, lost all their other roles and could have input on the decisions. However, only Tapir12 could use the Imperius curse, so if she died (which she did not) the other Dark Wizards would only have the option to kill, not curse.

Now, for the night by night.

Night One
Hepheastus investigates Preacher.
Tapir 12 uses Imperius on korvys.
ArchieO does nothing.
Prospero101 protects JackSlack.

Night Two
Prospero101 protects JackSlack.
Hepheastus investigates Jamfalcon.
Tapir12 uses Imperius on Hepheastus.
ArchieO does nothing.

I admit at this point that I made a mistake: Hepheastus should have died on Night Two, but I was distracted by the fact that ArchieO had not gotten back to me so when the night timed out I just posted the day without thinking. This was 100% my fault and when I realised I agonized over what I should have done. I eventually decided to have him die the following night, even though that isn't strictly appropriate.

Night Three
Tapir12 uses Imperius on Phailhammer.
ArchieO kills himself.

Night Four
Tapir12 uses Imperius on aeric90.

With the deaths during the day, that brought the ratio of Dark Wizards to town to 4:3.

I wanted to experiment with the "Imperius curse" mechanic, but rather like cards on the table, I don't think it was entirely successful. This was not, however, helped by me grievously dropping the ball and not killing Hepheastus when he should have died, which may very well have skewed the results. I also probably could have done with placing a better limit on how Imperius could be used.

Aha, so it was a Dracula scenario!

Man. Did Tapir12 ever come under any suspicion at all?

Yeah, she wasn't even really a blip on my radar. We townsfolk really did not do well this game. And if it's any consolation Duckay, it wasn't until I reread my power day three I realized that it would kill anyone that visited me, not just people trying to attack me. Had I realized that the first time (and it was nothing to do with your reading, I just didn't pay enough attention when the PM first arrived), I probably would not have played such an aggressive and outgoing game.

Still, well played Tapir and her converts, and thanks to Duckay for a game that kept me guessing and thinking a lot more than normal.!

Yeah, well played Tapir. That was actually a pretty good scenario, I do love recruitment mechanics and the like. Also I WAS IMMUNE TO IMPERIUS?! And here I was feeling left out of the Dark Wizards Murder Club

I never even killed anyone! Actually, I came very close to trying to convert Jamfalcon and Preacher, but my minions advised me otherwise.

Now let us all be ruled by Voldemort forever.

(P.S. Thanks guys, it was fun to play!)

I couldn't help but laugh at that, Tapir. Watching you guys going over your options and then decide on the best option every time without having the information to know that was really entertaining.
