Starting an official/unofficial Path of Exile gaming group?

Something that I mentioned briefly during today's Adam's Gamehaus, I'd be up for starting up a group for the game Path of Exile. Who'd be interested in joining me?

To those who don't know, Path of Exile is a game very much like Diablo 2, using many of the same mechanics as that game. The main difference is how skills work. They're socketed into items, and through linked sockets can be drastically augmented to do different things.

I've been considering playing this a few times. I was in on the Beta for a little bit, but life got in the way.

Still, it was a pretty fun game, though it felt a bit short.

That's fair Merrymaker, I honestly don't know why they designed Dominus to be such an arse. I usually end up partying to take him on which keeps my rage to a fairly low level (since it's not unusual for people to join parties specifically geared for killing him).

Something that I forgot, the name given here needs to be a character name, as the search only accepts those. Mine is still Cravendrow, since that's the name of my highest level character.

Yeah! I want to check it out, I'll probably be starting on one of the leagues on Friday night if anyone wants to roll fresh with me. Whichever the Standard league is, I used to play Hardcore but I just don't want to deal with the stress haha.

So now that we've got a guild, I'm going to start doing parties after every LRL Stream. Anyone interested in joining the guild, message me before these parties form (preferably in the LRL chat), otherwise I'll likely not see it.

I'll likely join the guild once I figure out what's going on with my system.

For some reason it suddenly drops frames / chugs for like a minute, causing me to completely panic... as it tends to happen right in the middle of a big battle. Once I got that resolved (so things move smoothly consistently), I'll jump into the guild.


BTW, if anybody is willing to assist with some remote tech support, feel free to get in touch with me as I don't want this to continuously happen.

Thanks to our guild officer Sunrise_Laros (also known as Cronqvist), who donated points, we now have a guild stash. Feel free to place any items you wish to share with the guild inside. For now, we've added a few simple uniques, as well as skill gems and some currency items.

In addition, I'm going to start running parties around an hour ahead of stream start times, since most people aren't usually on after streams end.

Something I just wanted to mention, the newest race season has started. The goal of races is to get as far as you can in hardcore as fast as you can. Getting to higher levels or accomplishing more objectives earns you more points.
