Why the hell is this so addictive

I got on my laptop last night to play Audiosurf with my Trans-Siberian Orchestra mp3s, and got suckered into playing THAT instead.
Anyone have any more strangely addictive games they'd like to share?

There are better versions of the Bubble Shooter game out there. Also with better spelling. I do like the concept tho'.

That game dies really fast once you've done everything you've ever wanted to do in it.
Doesn't every game? If you do everything that you want to do then there isn't anything left for you to do. I mean, that's the same as every activity in life isn't it? You just find another interesting thing and move on (back to Diablo 2 that is).

Westward. It's a shareware game with a time limit, but that can be easily...circumvented. Not that I'd ever do something like that or anything.

Yeah, I beat Bubble Shooter so I'm kind of out of out of good flash games to play while watching The IT Crowd. And by beat I mean Cleared the board, and after clearing the board starting over again seems so ho-hum. I'll check that one out.

This one has kept me pretty entertained. Same premise but it SPINS!

I once met a man in Regina with a leopard print eye-patch, and now I fear nothing.

I like this one for winter.
My first try with a trackball was 69830. I know I've gotten far far higher than that in previous years with a mouse. So simple, so adorable.
Speaking of addictive games... in college we lived in a fairly open dorm, and people would sometimes leave their laptops around in our common room. Whenever he found one, my friend would check if it had Snood on it. If it did, he'd beat the high score. He never failed to achieve this.
