FFVII:AC-Complete

Postby Smeghead » 30 Jan 2009, 16:06

Well I'm not totally sure... well about anything I'm gonna say here (as I don't understand japanese, but love to visit SE's japanese website (as it updates more often then the english ones)

From what I can understand there's gonna be a trial version of FFXIII, and along with it, a new, longer version of FFVII Advent Childern, called Complete.

As I said; I'm not sure about any of this, but the trailer speaks for itself

Advent Children director's cut looks sweet. I wonder just how much longer the movie'll be. More than half the trailer was new footage, and many of the new clips would require a couple of minutes to tie them to the rest of the movie.

Zack gets more screen time. Maybe Red gets more lines, and it looks like Kadaj is trying to copy McLane, attacking a helicopter with a motorcycle.

Bad news: looks like it'll be a Blue-Ray exclusive. No standard-definition DVD(Bad for late adopters like me).

Two weeks ago I read that it is supposed to be japan only. I don't know if they are planning on bringing out the complete movie on BD, which they probably will eventually, but they said that the demo was japan exclusive. on the other hand they are slating the jap. release of ff13 for the end of the year, with the North American version no earlier then 2010. I would not be surprised if that was pushed back yet another year.

I'll say now what I said when I first saw FFVII: AC: Huh? That didn't explain anything!

I highly doubt it won't be released internationally eventually; FFVII is like all Square's known for now.

I was slightly confused at one point in FF:AC when the two clones appeared after the final fight badly injured. I didn't see how they could have been beaten up so badly.

don't japanese PS3 games run on NA PS3 consoles? it'd cost extra but you could import it if they won't sell it in North America...

They do, PS3s are region free.

I thought so too but I know Blu-ray has NA and Japan sharing the same region code, if the PS3 is similar in this regard then the only issue would be the extra cost associated with importing the game...

Blu-ray movies may or may not be region locked. PS3 games are not region locked. PS2 games on a PS3 (for those with backwards compatibility) are region locked.

Blu Ray as a format is not region locked. This is why PS3 games are also not region locked. You can import no problem, both hardware and software.
