I actually prefer the previous one myself, "Jumpin' Strings Kitty Katch".

I like the mashup they did with katamari; "Yarn ball full of crap from the floor because the kitten unrolled the whole thing." It seemed a little unapproachable because of the length of the title, but is a pretty good game.

My List:

#5 - Portal - I have yet to meet a single person that didn't love this game.
#4 - X-COM: UFO Defense - I spent way too many hours playing this classic and it's sequels.
#3 - Master of Magic - Just when I thought they couldn't top Master of Orion, Microprose created an amazing game in a fantasy setting.
#2 - The Pandora Directive - I still hate Microsoft for buying Access Software and then killing the Tex Murphy series of FMV adventure games.
#1 - Chrono Trigger - While I am a fan of Final Fantasy games, CT really set a standard for JRPGs. It just seemed like it had so much more soul. I'm playing through the DS version on New Game+ now.

Honorable Mentions:
Unreal Tournament 2003 - Bombing Run: Best Mod EVER.
World of Warcraft - Bringing the MMO to the masses. This game has probably created more gamers than any other at this point.
Evil Genius - It might have edged out Portal if it didn't have so many bugs. Building an underground fortress full of traps is still fun.

I have to say i hate portal with a passion, was the biggest waste of 3 hours ever :P i only played it because it's loosely tied into the HL story.

1.) Civilization IV (best strategy game)
2.) Half-Life 2 (best FPS)
3.) Fifa 96 (got me into football!)
4.) Sam and Max Hit the Road (really a tie with Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island and Fate of Atlantis. I grew up on Lucasarts adventure games).
5.) Team Fortress 2 (best online shooter)

I suppose it shows my heritage that these are all P.C. games. Honourable mentions go to:
Fifa 09 (for realism)
Oblivion (for scale)
Left 4 Dead (for cinematicness)
KOTOR (for being the best R.P.G. and the best Star Wars game ever)
The Total War series (for number of guys onscreen)
Red Alert 2 (for campness)
Starcraft (for being the best R.T.S.)
Worms (for being a good laugh)
Perfect Dark Zero (for the same)
All other Civ games, C&C games, etc, plus countless others that I've forgetten about. Any of these could probably have got into my top 5 were I in a different mood.

You could at least do your so-called 'favorite game of all-time' the justice of getting its name right.

I'm going with video games, to save my head from exploding trying to decide. That, and this is in no particular order.

DooM
Legend of Zelda: OoT
Super Mario Bros.
Phantasy Star Online
Eternal Darkness

I don't own it, I play it at my friends house and I don't keep track of the subtitles. Sorry.

For some reason I read that as "Half-Life 2: Return of Samus" and I was going "huba-lah-what..."

let's see this is going to be tough because I can never exactly pin down my favorite games...I would need like a list of all the games I had ever played then pick out of that, but currently and what I can think of it goes as follows in no particular order:

-Team Fortress 2
-Prinny: Can I really be the Hero (even though I haven't beaten it yet...SIR SWEET IS FRIGGIN HARD)
-Chrono Trigger
-Fable
-FFVII

Those may or may not be my most favorite of all time (since they sometimes change depending on my mood) but they are definitely some of my favorites

He was right. It is Metal Gear Solid 4: GUNS of the Patriots.

You must of confused it with Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of liberty.

5. Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
