Damn. Even though it's a tiny bit, I feel like I should know this.

Same here, it could be the top of a book, I guess? With some creativity?

Re: Name that Game!
They look like bricks. I'll throw in a wild guess: Wolfestein 3D, the original.

It is indeed a brick but both of those guesses are wrong. When I get home I'll stick up more of the picture.

Nope not either of them. Here's half of the image. Let's see if you can get it now.
It should be pretty easy.

It's not any Kings Quest game nor is it Thief.
Your hint for the day is that it's an RPG.

Is it a mid 90's SSI D&D game?

Re: Name that Game!
Oh, totally - that font is RIGHT in their wheelhouse.
...IIRC it was Westwood Associates that used it... I'd say Eye of the Beholder, but I don't remember anyone that looked like that in the first game, maybe the second of the trilogy, Legend of Darkmoon?

Re: Name that Game!
It's not eye of the beholder or legend of darkmoon either nor is it as you most likely guessed the sleeves of torment.
It should be fairly easy to get now so here's the full image

Re: Name that Game!
geez, this STILL doesn't narrow it down a lot - Helm...that seems to indicate the Forgotten Realms god? Did he 'moonlight' in other milieux before 3E? *wracks brain*
I've checked, and the font was only used in 'cutscenes' of D&D games around that time...but not JUST Westwood Assoc.
*spoilt for choice*
...this IS making me wanna go back and play through all the Gold Box games, though. (which this is NOT from any, be it the main PoolRad series, the Savage Frontier duology, the Krynn series, or even the Buck Rogers sci-fi rework!)
oh, EFF it!
*throws dart*
uh...Menzoberranzan???
brb - reinstalling POOLRAD into DOSbox and digging out my ol' code wheel...

Re: Name that Game!
Nope not Menzoberranzan. Now here's a huge hint. Yes that is the forgotten realms but the game only stays there for the first 5 min then it goes to another place. It's my favorite of all the old d&d games and people who haven't played it should.

O_o
...Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace??? (which it shouldn't be; I don't recall that sort of cutscene in the latter game.
