Im always disappointed when I don't recognize a game immediately. How am I supposed to maintain my position of the repository of all knowledge about games if you post things I dont know?

As I said before, this might be considered cheating onmy part, so here is a clue, in the form of a link to the full size image, in which something is actually readable.

I know what I want to guess, but I don't remember the name. X(

Edit: Huh. Seems to be the wrong art style for what I was thinking. In light of that, I will say Mann vs. Machine.

... The Wolf Among Us?
My primary reason for guessing this is the art style being very Telltale(If you'll excuse the unintentional stealth pun).

This is the part that I think we should pay attention to.
Cheating on the part of the current player means that it's somehow not a 'proper' game. So maybe a game within a game, or concept footage of something that was never released, etc.

...as for what it would be though, I've got nothing :P

I considered that, but I couldn't think of anything that fit.

I caved and did a reverse search. I can see why it might be considered cheating, but I think it fits the rules.

No to both guesses. WRT the cheating part, it's not concept art, it's something that has been released and you can actually play.

As I said before there is something that you can read on the full sized pic, which I don't think its cheating if you google it.

Ahhh, touche - I've zoomed in and read the magnification, but not gotten around to googling it yet - but I feel both instances of what you mention are NOT CHEATING.

I still have no clue, but am STILL enjoying this round greatly! :D

No, although I wish there was a BTTF game with that aesthetic.

A few more clues: The now readable text is not on the newspaper, but in the bottom-right corner. Also, the "game" was made this year.

That was what I immediately went for. I know the name of the game, albeit thanks to Wikipedia so I don't know if that counts.

Googling a game is fine I think, just not things like reverse image search.

So if I'm aware that the Amnesia Fortnight is Double Fine's annual event where they stop making games to persue random mini-projects that the team members want to make, did a google search for this years entries, and discovered through that method that this is a screenshot from Mnemonic, does that mean I win?

Yep, Myrph is the winner.

I wanted to see if anyone here had followed this year's AF, but as it's clear that no one has, googling the game is perfectly valid.

I strongly recommend watching this years AF documentary, filmed and released during the jam. It's all on Double Fine's youtube channel

If stuff wasn't the way it is at the moment I'd probably have paid more attention, but that kind of thing seems to have fallen off my radar somewhat as of late.

Still here's the next one. Gonna start off with something a bit more obscure and get more obvious ones if noone gets it.

Looks half-way between Borderlands and Bioshock with a bit of that one episode of Firefly.

Did you mean that you're going to give a new game to guess if no-one gets this one, or that you'd give a new screenshot of this game to make it more identifiable?

Since if this game is the game I think it is, I'd be intrigued if anyone has played it.

I'm not going to guess, as I don't really have enough time to find a good game to make people try and figure out what it is.
