I think we should shy away from Early Access steam games. While there are a lot of solid games there the chances of one of the 100-500 people other than you who have bought it being here are slim.

Heh, fair point Hosk (though it might have been bundled which could have increased the exposure I guess).
If anybody agrees I can just post the answer and have somebody else go?

My game was "Arcane Worlds" and it looks like it's a good idea to maybe not do Early Access games...

First person to see this can take it,

I feel like, as long as it's early-access as in on steam (or a similar platform) at least, and not just on it's own little site in the middle of nowhere, anything goes. If the game is at least on a platform where you can look for it like Steam, then it isn't as obscure enough to just be completely overlooked. I mean... is an indie game in early access that much more obscure than something like, say, Air Control was before it was watched and played. I feel like a more tentative rule of 'try to avoid anything that you think is too out there and/or generic.' And maybe something about either posting hints/easier screenshots within a day or so if there's not much activity.

For example, I actually found Arcane Worlds on Steam when I went searching through the Early Access. I just focused too much on the first image without realizing the second batch had the first image to pop up on the game's page.

Yeah, the first image was my own, the others were stolen from the product page in the hopes it'd make it easier to find / recognize.

Well, apparently we all forgot about this since no one took "Arcane Worlds" from Mara in the last, almost 3 months. As such, I steals.

I haven't played a lot of newer games recently (thanks WoW) so we'll go with a slightly older one:

On a related note, how do people feel about the use of RPGMaker games for this?

Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K.²

Which explains the uh... "mature" design aesthetics.

Is it weird that I figured this out by recognising that it was built on the Quake 3 engine?
