I haven't played it in a while, but I hardly play multiplayer anyway. I have been menaing ot go through a couple of my XBL games to just do some deathmatchs. But I like playing by myself or in co-op too much.

I regularly play Halo 3, me and my friends are always up to some goofy antics. Building bases to fend of Zombies or making jumps and trying to do tricks and what-not.

I occasionally still play it, but I get bored with it really quick.

I still have it, but haven't played it in months. The lack of Xbox Live puts a damper on continued enjoyment.

I haven't touched the beast in months, partially due to the lack of Xbox Live and partially due to the fact that my Xbox recently ran face first into the RRoD.

Even if neither of those reasons existed, I'd probably play more Rock Band 2 online or maybe some Team Fortress 2. Halo 3 has had a good long run, but I think it's time to hang up the hat and retire. :P

I'll hop on every now and then to play in sandbox and such. I basically play whatever my friends on xbox live are playing, and they're usually playing one of four or so games.

Funny you should mention that. A friend of mine and I just re-started our epic co-op run through (legendary, grenades, bashing, running people over, can't remember if we decided the hammer and sword were usable or not).

You know what? Multiplayer Halo is just pure fun.
It's not the perfect game or anything, but it's just as simple and yet just as complicated as a game should be in this day and age. As far as replay-ability goes, there's so many ways to play and the settings can be so thoroughly fucked with that it can suit many moods as well.
My friends and I got a six man LAN hooked up yesterday and we saw that it was good.

If I have friends over I have fun doing goofy things, if I'm running solo I have fun stomping people.

You don't need friends to have fun when you're pro.

I never liked Halo 3 very much. The maps were pretty terrible, there's too much change in elevation. Valhalla is a good example of what I'm talking about, there's no equal ground where two people can have a decent fight, it's always one-sided. They fixed this problem with most of the newer maps, but I've already moved on from Halo and I don't plan of spending any more money on it.

There's also the little items you can throw out on the ground. Those made things a bit too random and gimmicky. They made Halo 3 seem more like the Smash Bros of shooters. MLG tries to remedy some of the RNG factor, but it's pretty much the same as "no items, fox only, final destination."

They also changed most of the maps so you start with a battle rifle as well as an assault rifle, pretty much eliminating the need for any other weapon.
