Team Fortress 2

Postby elitewalmartsecurity » 05 May 2009, 11:52

Does anyone in LRR play this game?
And what classes are they?
I suddenly can't stop thinking of Graham with a hard hat and wrench.

There is an LRR steam group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LoadingReadyRun

I think some of the crew such as James have played TF2 but I am unsure whether they continue to.

I'm pretty certain that Alex still plays.

Well, yes. American servers "play seriously" because we have so many random 13-year-olds on the Internet. They destroy the sanctity of the Internet for us over here with their mic spamming and bad Scouting.
It's like those kids in Halo 3 that run a Warthog into the ocean with you on the turret.

I play on occasion (I'm in the LRR group), but school keeps getting in the way, especially recently.

I play casual.
If you watch the movie 'Jaws' backwards, its a movie about a shark that keeps throwing up people until they have to open a beach.

I used to play a ton of TFC (ever since it came out up TF2), and then when TF2 came out I played that for a bit...and...its kinda got old... I guess I got frustrated with the new 12 year old communities rather than the TFC communities that stuck around for a decade or so...yeah. Demoman was fun up until it was both horribly nerfed and absurd versatileness of the sticky. I mostly play disguiseless spy, nowadays. I guess I like giving myself a challenge.

I love TF2! I play it for the XBOX and I like to play the Demo Man and the Engineer. Sometimes the Heavy.

Good thing it's Xbox or you'd be severely ticked off by now.

I disagree with almost everything you said there, but hey.

I play TF2, not as regularly as I used to though. I might hop on later tonight. I usually play Medic, but Heavy, Pyro and Engineer are a lot of fun.

Entire enemy team is babies.

I have it but I don't play it much.

The upgraded classes make the game unbalanced.

Well the Demoman was severely nerfed just recently with destructible sticky bombs and the Engineer's been detrimented with almost every class update, heck the Spy's recent bonus of ammo-refueled cloak wasn't even in a class update and it's majorly weakened the Engineer who was already at risk from them.

But the Engy now can boost all their buildings three levels. The lvl 3 despensers are basically free medical closests.

I don't really see how the game is unbalanced at all.

EDIT: Though I hate the new way they have you look for servers.

Everything's basically balanced right now. The scouts were supremely overpowered AFTER the patch when the baseball worked at close range. Heavy vs scout always went to the scout as long as the scout had stun.
Don't bitch about scouts. They're STILL just okay after the patch. The scattergun got a LITTLE better and the pistol-energy drink are just for different situations. Honestly, every single weapon (with MAYBE the exception of the double barreled scattergun) is a tradeoff. The two medic unlocks are very, very necessary, and the pyro axe is godlike.
Good thing I play every single class with severe mediocrity.

It would be pretty spiffy if we could get a LRR server and play acouple times a week or month.

I was just thinking that.

If only Fallout 3 had some kind of multiplayer. Then Graham would be all over it.

Agreed... also Megaton would make an awesome DM arena.
