Tapir12 you are right... I have revised my idea somewhat.

IF it looks like we are voting for a lynch of CanCarters doppelganger, that person should speak out and say so. If no one else comes forward saying he is the doppelganger, then we have to assume the person we were going to lynch is indeed CanCarters doppel and thus innocent.
Sort of a last ditch attempt to prevent a wrongful execution. It will provide the mafia with the info but that is better then a lynch at that time.

Not necessarily. Not to pull a Rumsfeld, but there are unknown unknowns, and there are known unknowns. If we vote for someone other that Xolani, we could hit a Mafia (which is good), or a townie (which is bad). Xolani represents the only person the town can safely vote for without some risk of losing a valuable ally. It's essentially a "No Vote" with the added benefit of making it easier to use the town's only weapon (the lynch) on proceeding days.

In addition, Xolani is a known friend to Hakaryu, a (former) Racketeer for the Mafia. If that isn't incriminating enough evidence, then I beg you to offer us one better.

What's the worst that could happen? We lynch a town member who isn't helping us in any way... while I don't want to lynch our own, it's a better suggestion than just a blind accusation, unless someone has information they're willing to share.

I'm tending to agree with the majority. Unless someone else has more information that they want to share, we don't really have any better options. Eliminating a non-player also makes voting easier later because the mafia are not likely to vote for themselves and having dead weight makes getting a majority tough.

The questions is, if someone DOES know something, how are they going to reveal it without revealing themselves?

I think they mentioned being a bit more than neighbors IRL.

That being said, I don't feel comfortable calling a lynch on Xolani quite yet. If we are reasonably sure that he isn't doing anything, we can still use him to our advantage. If he's mafia and not speaking up, odds are he's not communicating with them or influencing their decisions. So better to go after the active members, and get him later once we know there's only a couple left. If he's town, he's not a target, and thus boosts are numbers and chances of victory.

FOS: Xolani with a tentative vote. I mean I do want to be very careful as to who we lynch, because things could easily become messy. I mean if we all have doppelgangers, that means we have twice as many killers out there, so we need all the town help we can get. That being said, I feel that someone providing no support at all is a danger to our town. For all we know, they don't speak unless they kill. It's a stretch, but I have seen weirder things.
