The Gay Chicken
Re: The Gay Chicken
Been a while since I burst out in uncontrollable laughter.
A very solid hustle. Well played everyone.

Tally wrote:Watch the last scene, watch James tenderly assuring Morgan that daddy's got him, and DON'T LAUGH. Don't even smile, not even a little bit. Which is exactly what I had to do in that scene. I have rarely had trouble keeping a straight face while shooting but oh my gosh I didn't think I was gonna make it that time. I loved James' delivery of that.

I think my fav parts are Jer's various "think quickly" faces.

I absolutely adore the characters in CHustle... I know they're "you," but they also play to some classic types in a really interesting way.
I especially love Jer's smugly self-satisfied clever person. ("I have similarly tried to repress my memories of that time period.") And James as the sole voice of sanity in this world. (No specific lines in this episode, but he is the sole reason I ordered two Awww, Muffin shirts.)

It's great to see Bill and Morgan 'working' together again.

Re: The Gay Chicken
Paul is not credited even though he show up in scene where Bill is showing the others something disgusting on the computer.
The focus seemed off in a few places either being too slow or the depth of field being too shallow.
A few technical glitches aside this video was awesome.

All day yesterday I kept wondering why there wasn't a thread for this under LRR Video Discussion. Derp.
I thought this video was hilarious with a side of "Did they really just... really!?" As someone else mentioned before, I'd love to know how the writing process for this went.

Yaxley, I think it went a little something like...
G:"Hey, we haven't done a proper cHustle in a while; the fans are starting to notice."
P:"I know, Bill and Morgan have been busy being busy."
G:"Oh, right... That... Kidnap them and make them fondle each other on film?"
P:"Count me in."

"Flat beer or a lumpy mattress. Take your pick."
"I'd prefer a flat mattress."
"Hmm.. Well, it could be done.. If I take the lumps out of the mattress, and put them in the beer, you'd have a flat mattress and a lumpy beer!"

I've watched this twice now and I still cannot stop laughing. I am going to show it to everybody I know and I will probably laugh again.

Re: The Gay Chicken
I've been meaning to ask, but was I the only one that felt that the sound in the video was a little...metally? I don't know the word, but it sounded kind of weird. Particularly during Bill's first lines.

I noticed that when I watched it with headphones. With speakers, I didn't hear the same effect. I also almost heard what Jer whispered to Tally with headphones on, which I didn't get with speakers.
Re: The Gay Chicken
Even with maximum volume I can't QUITE make out what Jer whispered to Tally. Hopefully we'll be told in the podcast!

Shot of the dice done with T2i? DOF was really really shallow.

Re: The Gay Chicken
I just realized that Morgan woke up when Bill moved him. What happened to him only waking up with the sound of the marker lid opening?
Or was he 'dozing off' and not fully asleep?

The whole video was actually done with the T2i. Most of our recent ones have. We're playing around with it.Xix wrote:Shot of the dice done with T2i? DOF was really really shallow.
I'm loving the depth of field and great colour/light saturation it takes in.

Seeing as how Bill was the one using the markers most in the flashback, I think Morgan adapted to waking up to the presence of Bill as well, just in case.
