This was, without a doubt, my favourite (fuck you spell check, there's a u in favourite) thing you guys have done in a long time.

I think commodore hustle (edit: actually anything with Matt and Graham as room mates or just you guys playing "you guys" also falls into this category) is the best thing you guys do and whatever formula you use for it always works.

Good work to everyone involved.

You guys have actually made me decide to play magic. I've even been asking around to see how many people I know play it... A surprising amount, with two very close friends saying they might start if I do.

If I spend all my money on Magic cards it's your fault. That could have been money I spent on your T-shirts!

Are there any sharks in Magic: The Gathering? if so, you need to make a deck of them to fight against the bear deck in a BearSharkocalypse match!

OK, I had one more Fridge Logic moment. Why was Kathleen hiding at the card shop? She wasn't over the spending limit!

You guys have successfully pushed me over the edge with this video and I have now bought a intro deck - Blue/Black Mirrodin starter, which has been bolstered slightly with one booster. Me and my girlfriend are currently at 2-2 with each other. She even has some angry kitties.

luckily I've only spent £9 because of you so far... but I'm sure that'll change soon. I wish I could play some magic with you guys though. And as this video shows, Magic is VERY addictive...

Actually, Ajani Vengent she traded for (he wasn't super expensive), and Goldmane she legit pulled in a pack.

*watches video. Looks at Yugioh cards. Feels conflicted* I haven't collected cards in years. I play with REALLY old yugioh cards, and do fairly well. How does Magic work? I hear it's been around a long time, is their a rule or something for super old cards, or should I just buy a premade booster deck and start from there?

Pretty simple to start out with magic. You have 4 colors: Black, red, blue, white and green. Each with it's own strength and weaknesses. You make a deck with one or more of these colors. You have land cards, creature cards and different spell cards. You use land to tap for mana, and that mana can be used to conjure spells and creatures. The goal is to use these to get your opponents score from 20 down to 0 to win, while trying to keep your own life.

And it's best to have a look at the magic site for the rules and all that (it's pretty simple and the cards explain what they do) and then you can just get a starterpack with maybe one or two boosters so you have a choice of which cards you want to use.

And no rules for old cards, there are just a few that are banned from tournament play.

Back when I first started playing, the joke was that there were only four colors in Magic because green was so bad it didn't count. I think that has changed since then.

On the topic of the video, I'm about halfway to getting the cards needed for my own Angry Kitties deck. Wish I'd picked up more Steppe Lynxes when I had the chance though.

Green isn't so bad anymore, although I still feel (in my n00bish opinion) that it works best with another color. Not so sure how green would work as a stand alone like red and black.

During my n-th watch of this, I only just noticed Kathleen in the back of the Magic (the Gathering) store.
