Re: On The Case
Every so often there's a moment in a LRR video where I have to pause the video due to excessive laughter. This happened today with Cam's line "They will never find your body". Excellent performance
Also, there'll probably be a slew of comments asking this too but please tell me the ponytail was real.

I suggest we coin the word "extortigators"...

Re: On The Case
Didn't Kate's CommodoreHUSTLE persona once start a street gang? Is there a significant ethical/moral gap that I was previously unaware of between extorting someone for $20 and threatening them with Bill?

I've really been enjoying the way you guys have been taking CHustle the last couple episodes.
So does Beej really have that cat, does his CHustleverse character have one, or was he playing a non-Beej character?

Re: On The Case
@WAYF: Kate has matured since the WCMLGs, I guess?
@Jamfalcon: Everything about Beej's cat is true. The cat's "real" name is SGC RW Chittagong's Winstar. It's actually a Birman, though. We changed it to Burmese because Birman is a really uncommon breed.

Not wanting to ruin a good recurring joke, but as a tip for you guys if you genuinely do have trouble with our postal addresses only really require a House Name, Street Name, Town and Post Code. We just like to use the rest because it makes us seem more important...
This is one of the funniest Hustles for a while. Many hilarious moments.

Re: On The Case
Question: Is the cH universe "like reality unless otherwise noted"? Because I was curious about something. The weekly LRR series is obviously confirmed to exist in the cH-verse, as well as CheckPoint and Unskippable (from a reference by Matt in "Hot Water at PAX"). Is this episode confirming that Feed Dump (and more specifically the "Girl Dump" episode) exists as well?

Re: On The Case
And WHAT exactly is wrong with having a ponytail?
This seems to be the first CH with James not as a major participant.

Some people just don't look good in ponytails. I for one would look terrible, mostly because I can not actually grow a ponytail
Re: On The Case
Haha, this was really well done. The stinger just killed me.

I love how quickly cHKathleen turned a somewhat crazy plan into a batshit insane plan.
Totally accurate, except for all the times I'm not.

Re: On The Case
Okay, Cam scared me there.
...he was fan-DIRTYWORD-tastic!
And again, Kate has to play the 'sensible one' to someone else's absurdity (namely Kathleen's mercenary nature )
And that stinger?
Graham, your exceptional delivery of just two words keeps resounding in my head all this time after watching the video. ^_^
Fantastic job all around!

Re: On The Case
I like the recurring joke about Kate "absolutely not" getting paid for CheckPoint.
Also, Beej has been in something like two or three weeks' worth of videos. Were you all really productive while he was there for a visit, or is he just hanging around before Desert Bus?

Beej lives here now!
He just moved and was looking for a job.
He's GOT a job now, but he'll still show up!

Building on this, Graham ripped open a package with a commodore Hustle DVD. Does that mean cH exists in the cH-verse?

Would the fictitious versions of themselves be like our real-world versions?
Or is it like a nesting doll, where each level gets even further removed from reality until they're talking in Simlish and beating each other like Stooges?
( I wanted to make a World on a Wire reference but then realized almost nobody would get it. )

Re: On The Case
Every nested cH reality is a parody of its parent universe. The commodoreHUSTLE version of the commodoreHUSTLE version of LRR are even worse people than the commodoreHUSTLE version, and make even cruder jokes. This continues like an inductive proof.
(the commodoreHUSTLE version of)^(n+1) LRR are cruder than
(the commodoreHUSTLE version of)^n LRR

Re: On The Case
All the stuff LRR produces definitely exist in the cH universe (Feed Dump etc).Under_Score wrote:Building on this, Graham ripped open a package with a commodore Hustle DVD. As for me opening a cH DVD... I didn't even think of that. Oops!
I just grabbed the first DVD I could.
Pretend... it's a Season 5 DVD? That brings up less questions
