Re: commodoreHUSTLE 09 - Growl
So yeah, I rewatched it, and I wouldn't call this a "step back" from the current main plot, so much as "Super-Goddamn-Cheesy After School Special". Not to say, I didn't laugh hard at many of the lines ("Because you did. I learned this from you." LOL).
Also, I just noticed that when Kelly says "One to the land and one to the sea...", he totally points at the sharks for "one to the land". Does this mean in their LARP world, bears are sea mammals and sharks are land fish?

Bears can swim a lot better than sharks can walk.

I read that after finding this gem from xkcd. I guess they don't NEED to walk.

Sharks aren't all that amphibious though...

Lyinginbedmon, do you realize that these are SHARKS we are talking about? I mean if the Ursine Armada is advanced enough to be able to disguise themselves in pizza boy costumes and be conspicuous while doing highly technical recon, then the Selachimorphic Fleet must be capable of developing amphibious equipment that allow them to become land-ready, should the time come.

History has taught us quite well that the capabilities of one nation do not mean anything about the capabilities of other nations.

One thing that slipped by me on first watching: Paul is significantly stronger than he looks, if he can haul Graham around, suited up, on a hand truck. Particularly so given the angle he holds it at, since he'd be bearing quite a bit of the weight. Carrying whole people around that are covered in hockey is not an easy task.

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch the whole thing without interruption and I actually rather like it. This is definitely an episode that you can't watch without being able to really pay attention to it. I genuinely LOL'd at certain points, especially the part near the very end.

Its not that hard. I haul people around on hand trucks all the time. Usually I sneak up on them and take them by surprise which adds another layer of difficulty.

My question is, when will they apprehend the people trying to ruin them?

I would guess in the (presumably) thrilling season finale! Not sure why they settled on 11 as a good number for series length.
Re: commodoreHUSTLE 09 - Growl
It should have been 10, but the first two episodes were only two weeks apart, so we went with 11.
Weird, I admit, but so are we.

A bonus episode, if you will.

I'm certainly not complaining to get more feature-length LRR fun.

Neither am I, Commodore Hustle is great, but I think it would be hilarious to see what happens when they find out who is trying to ruin them.
Re: commodoreHUSTLE 09 - Growl
Interestingly this was my first episode and it worked well as a stand alone I then went back and watched them all back to back from the start.
Good shows guys and great episode.

True and I have informed alot of my freinds but I think that joke is still alive in England because we had the perfect one a couple of days ago, I won't give you the context but I said:
"You squirt that ting in me one last time, I'll rip it off you and cram it down your throat"
Which actually works as a 'that's what she said' joke, still the amount of times I've heard it used badly it probably died for the better.
Just wondering were all the episodes shot back to back or do you film one a month?

You see it's ones like that one that make the joke funny. Too bad people suck at life and use it in the wrong context. Much like "Your mom".

Exactly a joke is funny up until the point everyone starts using it, then it just dies, especially when people are waiting and try to say "so's your face" or "your mum".

Your mom was funny up until everyone started using her.

I don't think a joke ever really dies. It just goes into hiding for a while and waits until the heat is off.

It 'plays dead' if you will. Fakes it's own funeral, by inviting men with funny hats to say nice things about it.

I actually saw this Graffiti in Canada, "Make yourself scarce." The only thing better would have been a "Please" in front of it, which I am sorely tempted to add.
