I wanna be the Hat!
Also I want to point out that I was one of those auditioning for the role of panting boy, I'm guessing by the fact that I didn't get the role that they weren't looking for over the phone creepy guy pant... just felt like I could interpret the lines a different way, that's all.

Heh, Graham, you said "cockpit".
I have to say, as ridiculous as this game's cutscenes appear to be, I'm actually intrigued to play the game. Is this advisable?

Re: Unskippable: Zone of the Enders
I was unaware of a new Zone of the Enders video game. The SNES game was something I never wanted to touch. Based off this..maybe I don't want to play this version either.
The anime was't bad though. I'd recommend that to anyone looking for a mech anime.
Really surprised the literal "cock pit" wasn't mentioned more in unskippable though.

Was this the first PSx game or was it a PS2 game?
~I'm probably not serious~
Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

Kojima's making a new Zone of Enders for the PS3 due to fan demand.
Anyways, funny episode.

You may want to check out the movie they were referring to:

He didn't. He called the game character Paul was doing the voice for Gary.

I still don't know where the Manos reference is. Though yeah... Flight of the Navigator... oh god.

There is no Manos, there is only fail.
He misinterpreted the "flight of the navigator" reference.

Well, they're both Kojima.
Re: Unskippable: Zone of the Enders
I spent most of the episode, trying to remember if I played the game or not, cause I could of sworn I did, but I couldn't remember anything about it...

Very yes. The second game is, I'd say, even better. Both are for the PS2, with another game on the GBA, which I've never played. Also, while there are links to the first game's plot, the second game's plot stands alone fairly well, IIRC.

Zone of the Enders was a game that infamously sold very well due to the fact that it came boxed with a demo of MGS2.
I bought it not knowing this fact so was pleasantly suprised. Also the game is okay. Very mediocre I thought, but it just kind of ends with one of those cliff-hangery type moments that Arius hates so much.
Nothing to see here.
Re: Unskippable: Zone of the Enders
The first one didn't even really end, just halfway through the climax it just stops, absolutely no resolution. Like an old cartoon "Tune in next time to see how cowardly kid gets himself out of this one!" Though I enjoyed the game up to that point, I didn't buy the 2nd one out of spite. That'll teach Kojima!
But the best line has to be "run away from the bloated narrative!"

Re: Unskippable: Zone of the Enders
Yeah, I know I only bought this game because I wanted the MGS2 demo. The game itself was okay. But then I only played it for maybe an hour.
