Official Unskippable Suggestion Thread.
Re: Official Unskippable Suggestion Thread.
Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast was a bit naff IIRC, but you do get a nice Star Wars opening crawl to riff over.
Jedi Academy probably had a worse intro, but I can't remember if it has the opening crawl and I've misplaced my disc.

Not sure how long it is, or how appropriate it would be because it's not very serious, but you should do Psychonauts.
Just call me Dylan. It's easier to pronounce.
Re: Official Unskippable Suggestion Thread.
After talking at the meetup I decided to take another look at Metal Wolf Chaos. The opening scene is pretty short, but there's a lot to work with at the end of the first level. It's little more than a tutorial stage, so you could probable get away with your standard "One tutorial stage later" transitions. Here's an LP video that's got the whole first stage:
Let's Play Metal Wolf Chaos
When the gameplay starts up you can skip to 13:30 to see the end stage cut scenes. I'm not sure how well this works for you but when I remembered how insane the game was I had to at least suggest it.

Alan Wake. Seriously, I scoured the Unskippable archives for a couple of minutes under the mistaken belief it had already been done.
Can't help but feel that'd be a pretty 'fish in a barrel' situation. The REmake on the other hand...

I heard the opening cutscene for Final Fantasy XIV came out. That is my request.

They have already shown the opening ten minutes or so of gameplay for Bioshock: Infinite. Except the game won't be released until 2012. Do you all wait for the official release in over a year, or do you do it now with the gameplay that they have released?

It's not a cutscene, it's gameplay, so I wouldn't think that they would use it.

Re: Official Unskippable Suggestion Thread.
(both of the videos are from Giant Bomb quick looks)
Darkstar One: Broken Alliance roughly five minutes long. apparently it's also a full price game though you can get it on steam for 10 bucks.
Hydrophobia some game play bits, but those should be easily removable.

Oh and you can just call me Dave.
No need for the whole screen name.

The intro to Fallout: New Vegas seems like it would be a good fit.

Elebits. There's no actual moving characters, admittedly, as it's all done in a slideshow of hand-drawn images, but the voice acting is so AWFUL that it needs to be mocked.

Minecraft would be hilarious, if only to hear Graham and Paul freaking out about the complete lack of cutscene or story.
Consider this signature a museum piece, since I love it and am unlikely to change it ever.

I know it's usually just console games, but what about the intro to Civilizations 5? I know it's only 3.5 minutes long, but I can't find the key or mouse click that'll allow me to skip it when I play it on the Mac...

Or better yet, they think the first 10 minutes of gameplay are the cutscene, then get killed by a creeper as soon as night falls.

That's because they load the menus while playing the opening cinematic so that you have to watch at least part of it every time

Batman; Arkham Asylum. Because the intro is basically walking down a corridor with the Joker making wisecracks.
Or Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe:
DC's intro.
MK's intro.

There is a config file that you can edit to skip playing the movie. The file is UserSettings.ini
Change SkipIntroVideo = 0 to SkipIntroVideo = 1
This does not speed up the load time any more than pressing escape once the video starts.
