I second this. That's the game I thought of when I started wondering about possible candidates for a "retro" Unskippable. The cutscenes so heavily outweighed actual gameplay time that I just stopped playing at some point, and watched the rest of the cutscenes online.

And it seems Namco felt it was the right approach: they never bothered releasing the first Xenosaga in Europe, and skipped directly to the second... which came with a DVD containing most of cutscenes of Episode I strung together like a movie. ^^;

I had a toooon of fun mocking the dialogue in enchantedARM or however it's punctuated. I'd love to see Graham and Paul's take on that one!

According to Wikipedia, Edge of Twilight which you guys did the trailer of in E3 Trailers will be coming out this Summer... and after considerable time in development hell. :)

Following the recent Revelations ep I'd like to endorse the first Resident Evil game yet again. It's an obvious pick but it's one of those things you should "get over with". I know the cutscene ridicules itself on its own, I'd just like listen to your take on it!

I'd love to see them do an Unskippable of some of a League of Legends cinematic. They've done other online games so I don't see why not, except maybe that said cinematics are only on youtube. Either way there's 2 now that would work, the original trailer, and the latest one A Twist of Fate so here's hoping.

With the recent release of "Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection" this would be a good time to do any of those games.
The set includes:
Metal Gear,
Metal Gear 2,
Metal Gear Solid 1
Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition
Metal Gear Solid: VR missions

A few older games that might work.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love - Before new game, Start of game The premise in short: Alt. universe New York theater troupe by day, mech-piloting demon fighters by night...and sometimes day, too.

Eve of Extinction - So much fodder, but not quite long enough without editing out some tutorial bits.

Impossible Creatures - A PC game, but that intro has the heart of a 1930s pulp fiction novel in it, albeit one with a more progressive stance on women.

Impossible Creatures is awesomely hilarious. It's also like "Old Bad Guy Stereotypes: The Game"

I hope they do the IC intro.

There was a steam sale and I have just watched the intro to:
"Spaceforce: Rogue universe"
It is... a special kind of terrible, that said, I am not sure it will be funny, but it is the right length.
If I'm half-mad, then which do you think I consider my better half?

Do these have to be recently released? One Unskippable that I would like to see would be Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It did come out in 2005, though, and on the Gamecube.

I wonder if Among the Sleep has enough opening cutscene...

And I'm guessing if Unskippable falls on April 1 some year we find out that it's Totally Skippable?

I'd love to see them do the opening to Indigo Prophecy (or Fahrenheit, depending on where they source their copy).

I'd also like to see Alex play it on stream, but that's neither here nor there.
A surgeon and a nurse are finishing a patient, and the nurse is about to stitch him up. The surgeon says "no, give that here, I'll close." The nurse shrugs, "Suture yourself."

Maybe a Silent Hill game? You already did Downpour. The first game is gold if you incorporate the meeting with Cybil. The fourth has good material too.
