Hmm, there have been many cut-scenes over the years, and many brought to my eye by the Unskippable crew..., but that really did seem to be one of the most boring cut-scenes I've seen in a while.
Thank you Graham and Paul for making it at least passable with a laugh or six, but damn... surely there are better ways to set a scene.
Maybe I just still have the epicness of the Vanquish opening and space russians...hmmmmmmmmm

That was a remarkably useless cutscene.

Wow. I'm used to really bad cutscenes by now -- I'm all ready to cringe in pain at the badness -- but that... that wasn't bad. It was just boring. In fact it was so boring it hurt more than even the worst of cutscenes.

If it hadn't been for Paul and Graham I'd probably have slit my wrists, just to make it stop. If conservatives ever get wind of this... I mean, Hot Coffee might provoke sexual violence, but this cutscene surely will produce a massive rise in suicides!

What a dull intro to a cool game.

I have no ire towards this cutscene. Mostly because it did actually set some stuff up that happened later, even if they weren't that important.

It also helps that this is one of my favorite games ever, so I really can't despise the cutscene for being "boring".

wow.

that was absurd. i have no issues with setting a scene for a game in a cutscene (bioshock does this AMAZINGLY), but having a whole cutscene where the scene is set excruciatingly slowly and painfully, without anything actually happening, is pointless. We weren't exactly draw into the story, we weren't even told anything about the character (except that he's a Western Archetype)

seriously, booooring. I would no play this game based on the cutscene.

Thank G* and Paul for making this excruciatingly dull cutscene interesting.

That was a useless cutscene. Well done in surviving it.

And much thanks for the Newsie reference. I appreciated it.

To the credit of the game, the cutscene didn't feel that boring when I first played it. Seeing it now though, it makes me wonder if I was even paying attention the first time around.
