Hey folks!
Episode 1 of our new weekly series Unskippable is up at The Escapist.

Watch it here!

And check The Escapist every Monday for a new episode of Paul and I (and occasional guest) suffering through terrible cut-scenes.

Huzzah!

Why am I not surprised that the first episode is Eternal Sonata?

Poor little suicidal girl; she should have never listened to her mother's crackpot philosophies.

I'm interested to see how this series goes; it kind of reminds me of the very old LRR3k and Celestial Sea videos fused together. Here's hoping it goes well, and perhaps even increases the LRR audience. :D

Thank God for people like you, who play poorly paced games so that I don't have to.

Anyone? Folks?

FOR THE LOVE OF PACING!

That would have been unbearable without the commentary. I didn't know it was possible to pace something that badly! I am now very glad that I never bothered with Eternal Sonata.

"Jump! Jump! Jump!"

Re-watching that produces a dichotomy: dread, wondering why I'm watching this horribly, horribly paced cutscene, and deranged amusement at Graham and Paul's comments.

I was really expecting a comment to the effect of "Happy trees, happy trees."

Now having watched it, there were quite a few lulz. My favorite joke was "GOOOoo Planet!" That being said, the intro was so very terrible. And what the crap, the mother tells the daughter to commit suicide.

That was awesome guys... You got to do your "Video making fun of Eternal Sonatas horribly-paced cutscenes" and not have it be horribly-paced ;)

Keep it up.

Oh, and I love your intro.

...No she didn't. It was a metaphor. She was telling her daughter she might have to metaphorically jump into the metaphorical waves of a world filled corruption, greed, etc. -_-

Which the daughter seemed to have taken rather literally, if the first few seconds are any indication.

Awesome. I had a laugh, and know which RPG I will hopefully never play.

There is one thing I'll point out... in the outro, you get screwed over by the Escapist for the last slide of "go to lrr, kthnx". Went so fast I literally couldn't read it, so unless people have OCD about reading everything in the credits, nobody will ever know.

My favourite line was probably Paul's "Ya think? I'm five!"
