Oh there were some large plot hole, but overall it was all right. Pretty standard fare.

The game might be fine, but holy hell did that cutscene make me want to cut myself.

Same with Rotts, the other guy in the opening scene.

Never. Seen. Again.

That's horrible, because up until we find out she's his mom, they were setting her up to be Yukie's Tsundere love interest for the game.

Seriously, though. Yukie is a lot younger than he looks, Miranda is a lot older than she looks, and she was probably very young when she had him. What were the writers thinking!?

Dude, your mom's only 3 years older than you. And you're on a first-name basis!
...
You gonna hit that?

In light of this, I wonder if Bill and Ted references might have been more fitting.

Oh they never returned,
No, they never returned,
Their fate is still unlearn'd!
They are lost forever,
In the giant Plot Hole,
They're the ones that never returned!

I understand that a standard Plot Hole Resolution is also "They were eaten by dragons. Invisible dragons. That don't poop."

It's been so long since I've heard the MTA song...

Thank you; I so needed that!

To be honest, the opening of G3 seemed fine (for a JRPG) right up to familial revelation. *shudder of revulsion* That alone made it 'Unskippable-worthy' :)

And just remember:

Why would someone in Alaska know that song? I thought that was basically a Massachusetts thing only. Didn't realize that it had spread so far.

I think hide and go crush seems like a fine idea... as long as I get to pick who is hiding.

The music in the game was reminding me of Illusion of Gaia.

The dorsal fin part was hilarious, and I loved when Graham added the "singular sensation" part after one of the characters said "one"... I am a sucker for A Chorus Line references.

"That's the second most complicated hookah I've ever seen"

And more... this is the best one yet, I think.

I wish I owned a hookah that complicated.

...so was gossipy neighbor lady supposed to sound like Kyle's mom from South Park, or was that just a happy coincidence? That was really weird.

Oh, and the episode was great, guys. I'm really, really digging these things.

That song's a classic. Seeing it applied to plotholes warms my heart.

I remember it from a children's tape collection (that I probably still have at home somewhere). They even came with lyric books.

Has it become an Unskippable rule that there has to be one line that is said in unison? Just something I've noticed. :)

In any case, excellent episode.
