Episode 7 - For the Lulz

Postby Kathleen » 20 Jun 2011, 12:44

http://www.penny-arcade.com/patv/checkpoint/107/

Wherein we talk about what everyone's "new favourite" hackers are up to. Also where Kathleen creates a thread from just outside Kamloops, BC.

I'm amazed by the timing of this episode and the comic update.
HOLY SHIT GUYS! BEARS!

I was wondering if Graham's phone died or if he just forgot that you have three shows every monday now.
Good episode, and good timing as you said.
I noticed a couple typos in the bottom thingy-of-which-the-proper-name-escapes-me, and the HD option seems to be missing. But given all the stuff you've been up to over the last week and the fact you probably uploaded this from a hotel room at 3 in the morning, that's more than forgivable. Is this what passes for a vacation for you people? Yeeeeeeesh

Good episode.
While I loath those... people, for some reason I find the phrase "hacking armada" strangly hilarious.
Also, nice kathleen, you certainly can rock a top hat.

Oh WOW did they ever miss a "There might be better news shows, but they don't have *this* hat" opportunity. Of course to be fair it didn't cross my mind either until your post. Shame about the monocle though, they should fire their prop guy.

DAT HAT.

It had better show up in the next Pheed Dump, Kathleen.

Nice timing on that one, and like the PS3 joke I love the end punch line.

Though are we still refering to them as They Who Shall Not Be Named, because I think this video kind of underminds those efforts, though in a hilarious and neutral manner.

The ad after the video started with a little girl in a living room flailing her arms. Given the content of the video, I assumed it would be for the Kinect. Nope, Cheerios. Not sure if that's better or worse.

And yes, way to synch up with the PA comic update.

Kind of neatly themed with today's Penny Arcade strip, actually.

I hate to be that guy who ruins the joke by explaining it, but we are all on the same page about "Dargon" being funny because it's spelled that way intentionally, right?

Because if it is a typo and not what I think it is, I will be sad.

I'll admit that "Dagron" is my dragon misspelling of choice, but yeah that's intentional.

Dagron and Dargon both sound like aliens from Dr. Who.

I prefer Dagron because of Strong Mad.

At least, I think it was Strong Mad.

This episode was awesome. I would be willing to sign up as an intern, but I think I'll wait until you have a healthy backlog of them first. I think being last on the list would be most beneficial in this case.

I also had teh lulz (zing!) when you said they demanded the insertion of top hats into Skyrim.

I don't know how Kathleen got through some of those lines. Kudos.

Kathleen does suit top hats remarkably well.

Then again, I've never seen Kathleen in a hat I didn't like. Or any of the other crew, for that matter.

Overlay? And yeah, I noticed it too....

Graham wrote:I'll admit that "Dagron" is my dragon misspelling of choice, but yeah that's intentional.

Other typos:
"Mwtal" (1:30) (presumably "Metal")
"Dragon Amnesty of the Table" (3:25) (presumably "off")

Other than that, good episode. Though I do have a vested interest in dragon amnesty. What did dragons ever do to anyone?

'Dargon' just sounds like someone's misspelling some essential Cthulu-isms.
