Is it just me or is there like 2-3 minutes of black screen at the end? Another great episode by the way.

No I got that as well, I was expecting some sort of additional feature but no
Is it me or does sony love just inventing new formats? When the rest of the world has agreed SD is the standard there they are, still pushing memory sticks and now *another* new format? Really Sony? Really?
And then of course there was Hi-MD...
Oh, and UMD...
and MD-Data...
Betamax...
Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
I noticed a distinct lack of Paul, despite the credits naming him. As such, I speculate he was hiding in the darkness at the end of the video, trying to avoid lashing out at Sony's continued acts of unkindness.

Yeah, I got the same 2 minutes of nothing at the end. I sat through it, expecting some kind of bonus content. Like waiting for a secret song at the end of an album.

Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
Yeah, I'm also getting the randomly placed two min black screen at the end of the vid.
Also, I reaaaaaaaally don't understand Sonys thinking with this. I kind of get /why/ there isn't going to be any internal memory for the Vita, what I don't get is why the hell they decided to make a new memory card that isn't even compatable with their current one. I mean, seriously - way to bone people over Sony. Though I guess, as Kathleen said, "Well, yeah, it's Sony.".
All I can say for the "Hair Plucker" app is .... really guys? Seriously? There are people out there /that/ desperate to "feel a woman up" that they have to resort to an app revolving around the plucking of female hair? Pedo bear is watching you guys!
Someone ought to tell 'Epic Games' and 'Microsoft' that no one /actually/ cares how many people are playing Gears of War 3 at that moment when they air their totally unnecessary television adverts. Isn't the game popular enough already?

There's a "Zit Popper" app, too. Sounds like it's by the same people...
Anyhoo... Sony... Oh dear; it's like they're in a contest with Nintendo for Most Weirdness In Business Decisionmaking...

It's probably a coincidence but I just noticed a cat poking in on the bottom right hand corner of the page. Seemed appropriate for videos in which Kathleen appears

But you get BBC iPlayer.

Ah but they only keep the stuff on for a week (there are a few exceptions though), and you can find some of the bbc stuff on netflix

That hair plucking game? I could barely watch Kathleen even TALK about it. Ew ew ew ew ew ew ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Poor Canada, the small, lonely forgotten market.
I didn't know of Justin before seeing him in the guest spot here. His points were good but I thought he talked a little bit too slow. Checkpoint has a fast pace, and I thought he had a few too many pauses and it "lagged" a little. It also seemed a little odd that he was sitting, rather than standing, as Paul and Jer usually do.

Justin McElroy was also in Joystique if I remember correctly.

Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
that Gears of War thing is utterly pointless, especially given that the actual ads are fucking terrible. The theme they're going for just doesn't worth with all those absolutely massive space marines unable to show emotion.

You really should listen to MBMBaM. It's hilarious. And it's possible that his lines were pre-recorded (which would explain the pacing), since he lives in Virginia or thereabouts and the LRR-crew lives farther North.
Anyway, was a good episode. Now I can't help but hear Graham go, "Oh, right! Canada." to certain responses.
Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
I guess I can understand Sony's position on proprietary memory cards: They could help prevent the piracy problems that destroyed the PSP, but probably not for long.

Used to think Sony were almost as bad as Apple when it came to these weird proprietary technologies. Nowadays, I reckon Sony are worse, though whether that's Apple softening their approach or Sony hardening theirs is moot.

Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
Hey graham. Try being in Australia. European releases for video games AND no netflix at all. Seriously, it sucks being a nerd here.
Re: Episode 21 - Sony Know it Has a Problem
If I'm not mistaken, Australian game release schedules are actually worse than in Europe. Europe's isn't that bad really.
