Whenever I read that Creative Assembly story, it seemed more like they were using the Metacritic scale to determine whether parts of their game were good, not necessarily for the sole intent of getting a 90 on Metacritic. Them calling it a "Metacritic scale" seemed arbitrary.

I love the red-and-white LRR logo at the start, guys!

Hooray for Season 2!

The only thing missing from this episode was a picture of Al Gore photoshopped to look like Kratos.

Congrats on Season 2 guys!

Hm... It might just be me, but did anyone else notice the video flashing green occasionally? It seemed like it happened during Kathleen's Kickstarter segment, and then again during Graham's next segment, at the least.

Yeah, I saw that too, but I figured flash was being funky on me.

I guess the "Wad of Gore" joke has been overdone? Seriously though, I don't want that much realism.

Congrats on season 2.

I'd bring up the green screen flashing, but it looks like Graham is already on it.

It's a delightful shorthand, and it turns out that companies pull "trollface"-worthy shit all the time.

It's definitely appropriate for a lot of the things game companies do, but it's not always appropriate for the graphics used in Checkpoint's news segments. More often than not it just looks slapped on as an afterthought, something cheap and lazy.

This one had a lot of green flashes in it. I noticed one in the previous episode, but this time there were like five of 'em. Not like between shots, just at the most random times. What's up with that?

Edit: Ah, good to see you already know. So what made this one be the start of season 2? Has it really only been a year since you guys started this?

Same. But Checkpoint and ENN flow together in a regular stream of hilarity for me.

Well they flow so well together because they are the same exact show with no differences. They just jumped ship from the escapist because they are greedy and hate imps.

Thats ALMOST a direct quote from graham. (with a few words changed to completely reverse the meaning of the statement)

"Was there a Greek God of Blood?"

"Uh... no, sir. I don't think so."

"Well, we're gonna go ahead and put one in the game anyway."

Also, if you loved that Thoreau game, NEA, you're gonna absolutely flip over this Diogenes the Cynic RPG I came up with. You have an inventory size of zero!
