You know, a horror story in an abandoned circus might actually work.
I think I'll save that thought for a short story (because it's awesome)

Pretty sure at least one of The Goosebumps series was set at one.

It was.
A horror game in a abandoned circus would be creepy as fuck! Monstrous clowns, zombie animals and who knows what else. Make this happen!

When I first saw the Kickstarter and concept art/screenshots for Mighty No. 9, the only thing I could think was that it was Keiji Inafune sort of extending a large middle finger to his former employer, and specifically whoever was in charge of Mega Man after he left.

I mean, it made me laugh in that context, because seriously, if you had the chance to do so in that fashion, you'd do it, too, but still, that's the vibe I got.

Okay, it's taken a while, but I think you've gotten the non-boom audio setup PERFECT! I didn't notice anything different with this episode! But then, I'm losing my high AND low-range detection thresholds (probably attributable more to that damn 'figure-ground' inherited neurological problem - THANKS, DAD! ;)) so Your Milage May Vary...

But yeah, the 'spooky abandoned amusement park HAS been in games; one of the top of my head is The Secret World: Atlantic Island Park on Solomon Island, but I'm sure at least levels were based on this sort of thing in the past...not to say that there's no room for MORE games using the setting! (things become cliche for a reason :) )

Dammit Kathleen, I can't decide if that hair is messy or sexy.

Also, horror game set in a Walmart would be amazing.
