...What on earth happened with Kathleen at the start? Oh well, great to see more James around. He and Matt work really well together as a straight man/ bad pun maker combo.
Matt, I think we have the same frames for our glasses.

Re: Santa Drugs
The only ones I can think of are the grip joke and the Nickelback one.
Oh, did you say bad puns? Then the answer is no.

I don't think you did this week but you've done some horrific ones in past Feed Dumps. The main thing to take away from my post is that you and James bounce off each other really well.

Re: Santa Drugs
Probably for the best that Kathleen swapped out with James. Hardened music nerds and Nickleback in close proximity is bad times.

Re: Santa Drugs
I suspect the reason people outside of Canada hate Nickelback is because you can't not hear them. They get like ten plays a day on the radio station I listen to in the car. And its station format is supposed to be rock from the 70s and 80s. Damn you, Clear Channel!
Re: Santa Drugs
also, the whole being talentless, artistically bankrupt hacks, helps.

Pretty much, yes. I hear them all the time on my radio station of choice when it's supposed to be GOOD rock music with the distribution leaning heavily in to the 80s. There's only a few modern bands that get airtime on there and it sucks. I can deal with Paramore (it's a guilty pleasure of mine) I can deal with Muse since I actually like them but goddamn why do you continually play Pink and why the hell do you keep playing Nickelback? Damn you Star FM, making me listen to mediocre modern rock.

Re: Santa Drugs
Detroit is basically a Canadian city. It was founded as part of Canada (which is why it has a French name). Americans conquered it and then quickly made a truce with Canada, so we couldn't do anything about it. Almost the first thing we did in the war of 1812 was liberate it (though sadly the Americans had reoccupied it by the end of the war).
Some day the long occupation will be over! Free Detroit!
(Some parts of this post are sort of true.)

I fear for my local "classic rock" station, which currently plays Pearl Jam and Nirvana (not that I hate that, but it is out of place). I know, them being owned by Clear Channel, will be waiting until Nickelback is "old" enough to be played on their station.

Re: Santa Drugs
The first time I recall people making fun of Nickelback was on this Australian radio show that I used to really love, that was hosted by my favourite absurdly minor comedian. So, hating Nickelback makes me think of Ed Kavalee. Good times.
Also, I swear to you that I said a week or so ago (though it was on the phone to someone, possibly JackSlack, not on the forums, so you don't have to believe me) that I was keenly awaiting a James/Matt episode of Feed Dump. And now we have one. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Though that feeling kind of vanished when I saw the hat.

Re: Santa Drugs
I didn't start disliking Nickelback until Photograph. Why? I listened to damn near everything on the radio until like 2006. I didn't dislike any music back then.

Nirvana was, like 20 years ago now. That's "Classic rock".

Ugh, I can't stand that channel. Though that's mostly because of the hosts, rather than the music selection. We usually have that station on the radio at work, but every now and again I'll be all "ugh, that's more than enough of that" and just turn the radio off... and no-one seems to complain.
Also, thoroughly disappointed that there weren't any Nickelback callback jokes during the "what's in this guy's poop" segment. Or would that be too obvious?
While no one overhear you quickly tell me not cow cow.
but how about watch phone?

StarFM is actually my Central Coast station of choice. But I still usually listen to my iPod instead. I'm not on the Central Coast often enough to form any greater opinions.
Re: Santa Drugs
Not to disparage Matt's bad puns, but I have a lot of affection for Alex's puns.
This episode, despite a complete lack of Paul, had a lot of very hot guys and for this I say, thank you. I also thought the hat looked like a vagina, glad to see I wasn't the only one.

I missed it when I went to Coffs Harbour. There are no good radio stations up there.

Re: 25 - Santa Drugs
I have to listen to a radio station and work, which only plays:
[*]tonight, tonight
[*]the lazy song
[*]moves like jagger
[*]what the fuck
[*]just the way you are
[*]something dutch
And I work 8h a day. I'd appreciate Nickelback then.
