GPLP: Venetica

It made for a great Unskippable, but actually playing the game proved more of a chore.

As someone who has repeatedly asked for more Let's Plays, well, this is exactly what I wanted. Whee!

Wait, no one knows your next-of-kin, yet you have a half brother?

You think you guys might be able to put future LPs in a playlist? I think Blip has an option for that, but I'm not sure.

Regardless of that, though, I just like listening to you guys ramble, so I like these a lot.

I think that's an option Vigafre. We'll look into it.
Like most "first times" for us, this is partly learning experience too.

Happy suprise. Kind of came out of the blue. Not the smoothest name, but a sweet logo.

Vigafre, got the playlist worked out.
Just can't figure out how to share it...

I'll get back to you.

Why is it broken up into such small parts, anyway? Couldn't you put the whole thing on YouTube as one video, and in better quality?

Aside from that, ya~y!

Better quality, no. Recording in HD to a Mac requires some expensive hardware that we don't feel like investing in right away.

Why the small chunks? So it's in easily digestible bits. I'd rather watch a series of clips that one, giant 3-hour mass. But that's me.
It's pretty common online, for Let's Play videos.

"Oh yeah? Well, this discussion is over because your sound files failed to load."

This is already turning out to be outright brilliant.

Ah, yeah, I forgot that I'm kind of abnormal that way. Never mind. >_>

"But you must leave the village!"

"F U too buddy!"

Exactly my thoughts.. we've heard that too often in RPGs.

Huh.. the audio disappears whenever I pause the video for a sec or when I load the next part.. and then re-appears after another pause. Is my flash player screwed?

So I really like the idea. I loved the one you guys did before, so I think that making this a regular (or semi-regular as the case may be) is a great idea.

I just want to point out though, that because you aren't actually going to finish the games, I don't think it technically qualifies as a Let's Play.

I have no idea what else you'd call it, I just figured I'd be the douchebag that points it out.

Only watched a bit, but how awesome would it be for a rpg to be set in actual current times, but start in a Ren-Fair. Really awesome. that's how.

I think it's more like an Endurance Run style let's play except they actually stop when they have endured enough which contradicts the first rule of an Endurance Run: Nothing Stops the Endurance Run.

Damn you, I'm supposed to be sleeping.

*sigh* I'll just watch the first one...

Well, the Legaia 2 LP seemed a lot like a Let's Fail (Play the game as far as you can until you die), but this one they just kinda stop when they get tired of it.

As far as I know, this is the only thing that follows that format. I feel that it needs its own name.

Hasn't that been done? I have one of those vague feelings where that idea rings a bell and I think it's probably been done but I can't remember who did it or what game it was in or whether it was actually a game at all.

Grrr. Lack of sleep.

Anyway, I look forward to Dr. Stark's Guide to How to Use Gold to Increase Your Wealth (Step 1: Have Some). I'm sure it will revolutionise the financial world.

Something that likely would have helped you out with the crabs: the "passage" spell that shifts you into that twilight world lets you sneak past/up to enemies, since they can't see you while it's active. According to one of the tooltips that popped up, at least.
