The difference between Hydroblast and Blue Elemental Blast is Hydroblast can target a permanent even if it isn't red.

Singularity was the name of a Reset/High Tide legacy deck. Riddle of Steel is a much better name for a Sharuum/Blightsteel deck.

Urza appeared on a card disguised as a Hill Giant (Blind Seer).

Yawgmoth appeared on several cards. He was on Jilt disguised as Hanna, Phyrexian Arena as the crowd, and on Last Stand in his true form: a great black mana cloud.

Cam, you need to put Sculpting Steel in your deck.

If you return Sculpting Steel with Sharuum, as a copy of Sharuum, state based actions put the Steel back in the graveyard (due to the Legend rule) BEFORE the ETB trigger is put on the stack (I just looked this up, CR116.5 for anyone interested), meaning the Steel is a legal target for the Sharuum/Steel's own ability.

I'm not sure what you do with an infinitely dying/reanimating Sharuum/Steel, but I'm sure there's something.

Neat! Decklists!

<coughs> Treefolk EDH? <coughs-and-maybe-sobs-a-little>

A lot of fun to see everyone open up an Ice Age pack. That was my last set back in high school too. Then no Magic while I'm in college. Then I got a job and had disposable income and that goes great with Magic! :)

Really good episode. I always enjoy having Alex on in particular (and Cam is welcome too!)

Was this the nightmare fuel picture of Yawgmoth? Some comments on the thread I found it in said it's just some random Phyrexian, but opinion was divided. Most agreed that Yawgmoth's one true form was the black mana cloud.

WRONG Urza has a card, Blind Seer is Urza. He disguised himself to get on the weatherlight and steer events during the invasion and then later reveals himself to be Urza.

The Blind Seer was indeed Urza in disguise.

So, if Urza made the Weatherlight, conceived of the quest for the Legacy Weapon, was in charge of the battle against Phyrexia...why did he need to disguise himself to get on the Weatherlight and steer events a certain way? "Hi, guys! It's me! Urza! Ya'll need to make a left over there."

Ah, old storyline confusion!

Has anyone else noticed that the first 4 commons from BOTH packs of Ice Age they've cracked in this 'cast series have been the exact same cards in the exact same order?

Not sure if Cam or Alex will read this, but I was listening after teaching a history class. Would that burnt offering joke be a reference to the Holocaust?
