Is not about the draft guide :)
Is about sinergies in Homelands, there is a Pony for the dwarves! :D

Just watched this episode of TTC and just wanted to tell the following story because I felt like you didn't mention it specifically, although people hopefully still get it from your mana curve discussion and such:

I usually do the draft simulator on dailyMtG every Monday and sometimes even check the pools/decks other people drafted and posted. On one of these occasions someone posted his pool and 30% of his picks or so were basic lands. The problem seemed obvious: he or she apparently didn't know that you add the basic lands later and don't have to draft them. So I wrote a reply trying to explain this without comming of like a jerk. Now I don't know how many people wind up making that mistake on magic online let alone IRL since the basics are usually taken out then. But just in case they don't in some places it seems very important for new drafters to know. Especially since this sort of thing might only be discovered after the draft portion, when it can no longer be fixed. Anyway, after that experience I always made sure to mention it explicitly to new drafters.

Teaching magic related stuff can be hard because, as an established player, you often forget stuff like this, and I applaud you for doing it but hopefully this helps if you guys ever do something like this again.

Why you guys raggin' on Homelands lore, sure the cards wee whacky, but hte mythos is kinda cool.

Also, as goofy as it is, Giant Albatross is a huge flavor win. Google "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner"...or listen to the Iron Maiden song

I figure if Serge were a card, he would have an effect that is fairly simple to understand most of the time, but would cause serious problems in some obscure edge case.

Sege Yager - Planeswalker
G/W R/B UU
3 Loyalty
+1 Layer 3 effects are applied prior to layer 2 effects until the end up the turn
-1 Layer 4 effects are applied prior to layer 1 effects, layer 6 effects are applied prior to layer 5 effects until end of turn
- 8 You get an emblem with "All layer 7 sublayers are applied in reverse order, all cards are 1/1 creatures, they lose all abilities (including this one)"

I have a file on my computer with ideas for a Judge-trolling set... a creature that simply reads "CARDNAME loses all abilities" is on there. As is:

Serge Yager - 2BB
Creature - Human Shaman
When Serge Yager enters the battlefield, target opponent discards a card.
Storm
2/2

Serge Yager - 4UU
Creature - Human Cleric
1U, sacrifice Serge Yager: Target Instant or Sorcery spell you control gains Epic.
1/3
While no one overhear you quickly tell me not cow cow.
but how about watch phone?

Whenever I go to a new store I like to introduce myself to the judge with this one.

"It is my opponents first main phase on his first turn, and he played out a single basic land card, is he allowed to do that?"

The looks I have gotten as their brain tries to wrap its head around what could possibly be in conflict.
