That card would be Mindshrieker I believe.

Interesting question, why do some cards have white names/titles on MTGO?
the heart knows no greater tragedy than a breath that begins in love and ends in grief...
Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I really need to figure out MTGO at some point. My poor account just sits there unused and unloved.

Please note:
that is an Angel, for 8, that is 8/8.
That is the MOST COST EFFECTIVE ANGEL EVER, and her card text is astounding.
Edit: I take that back, I forgot about a few angels I forgot about. None this awesome though.

Avacyn is definitely good, but she won't be replacing Elesh Norn in Frites.
Once the Praetors and Titans cycle out, she'll probably see some play, because she's definitely good, even though expensive.
If nothing else, it's AMAZING in casual decks and formats.

Frites is short for "French Rites"
It's a 5 color reanimator deck in standard that uses Faithless Looting, Tracker's Instincts, and Mulch to get Unburial Rites and Elesh Norn into the graveyard and flashback the Rites for Norn.

I was currently working on a prismatic ramp deck with Black as the key colour. Guess I'm changing that to white now.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
I saw some postulating a few weeks back where someone was thinking Avacyn would have flying, vigilance, lifelink, and deathtouch. While that would have been pretty cool, this is way better. Also, my first commander deck was mono-white, but white is easily the weakest colour in my collection so it was crap. With her as commander though, I think almost any deck could work.
Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
She would never make it into play. Ever.

Avacyn turned out pretty much the way I figured she would be, though I never thought she would be so... cost efficient. If I draw one I'll be tempted to make my first what mono-white deck, but I have a friend that mains white, loves angels, and will lose her shit over this card. As much as I would hate to play against it I would probably end up trading it to go into her Angel EDH deck. I really can't wait to see what else is coming up in this set.

If I could make a four colour deck based around Diabolic Tutor > Rune scarred > Rune scarred > Rune Scarred > Rune Scarred > Sheoldred that worked, I can make this work.

It won't rotate out until October, that seems long enough to me.

I'm sure aubergine is having a self debate right now:
She has a Kaalia EDH deck (hence withengar, which is still awesome, and really is a better choice, I think, than sheoldred), but also loves angels such that she'd make an angel EDH deck.
But all her good angels are in Kaalia, and this is so much better than Deathless Angel.

Yes, but Avacyn is about to be released, and with an already unstable meta and new 'Net decks coming out every other day, by the time it settles down after Avacyn M13 will be maybe a month or two away, not alot of time to set up a deck that consistantly counters them.
Granted a "Good" deck shouldn't worry about that, but let's face it, the first time anyone encounters the myr infinite bullshit combo they're un-prepared. Point is, I'd like to build a deck which can be more easily modified with M13 coming. For example, I typically avoid things like Quicksilver which won't make a return, or have an equivilent returning.

Re: Magic: The Gathering: Whatcha mean, there's no thread ye
Because that isn't a returning core card. It's pretty much standard for wizzards now that things like giant growth, rampant growth, birds of paradise, some green bear are going to return in every core set, in one form or another. The fact that the Titans returned from M11 suprised me, because they were new and returned. But the way I see it, Quicksilver won't make a return. It's too common for a rare, I have like, 9 of the things and don't use any. Because Elvish Piper does the same thing, but better-ish.
Eh, just trust me on this, we will be lucky to see the Titans return in M13, quicksilver, worldslayer (BWAHAHAHAHAHAH so out of place!) the scepter/throne/crown won't return, most of the commons will stay or be pallette swapped, if we're lucky elvish piper will return depending on the sec to rotate out scars' theme... But quicksilver won't, it was a good idea and all, but out of place in a core set, and underpowered for the scars block.

Whipped up a LRR-MtG mat for anyone who uses MTGO to enjoy. Save with a filename ending in _a and throw it in /graphics/ui/backgrounds/gamemat to use it.
(I have the original PSD file saved as well if anyone would like it for a different background or just to tweak it.)

I'm sure I've seen a site somewhere that lets you use custom designs for playmats...
Also, where is your avatar from? I know it's Feed Dump, but no more. It is bugging me.
