Maybe side board some basics though, for ghost quarter. Or main deck?
I mean I absolutely will punish people who aren't running basics in every way possible.

Man I don't know whether to go out to FNM this week. On the one hand I have friday to myself and hey, it's FNM... on the other hand DGM is so close I feel silly running my deck or a draft when there's fresh cards on the horizon...

Well... DGM comes OUT on Friday, so... that's an option for drafting. (Note: might be different in your local area, but I know I'm gonna hit up ALL THE DGM DRAFTS)

I have been doing some drafting on the online sites and MAN Return to Ravnica block is complicated.

From what I have been doing its in DGM pick your three colors, in the other two, try not to splash a 4th.

Hmm that's true...

maybe I'll just show up for the draft.

Gotta finish planning my new Standard deck. I'm torn between adding blue into my RB removal deck to go full Grixis, or putting together a new Bant tokens deck.

So after staring at the Nivix Cyclops for several hours I noticed something. Is there a freaking Izzet keyblade in the background?

Do you mean keyrune? Also, possibly?

I'm quite liking Kenji as cohost. I hope he sticks around.

Listening to it again now myself; I listened to it yesterday, then somehow jumped from Advent of the Wurm to Teysa. (Read: I fell asleep.)

So, uh, I I got two fatpacks of Dragon's Maze today and what do I find in one of the boosters? Two mythics and a foil. Also, a Ral Zarek in another booster. Luck of the golden fucking gods.

EDIT: Also, my first ever planeswalker!

1. I've never played that, so I wouldn't know much about keyblades. 2. This is Magic, not Kingdom Hearts. Do you think they'd license that from Disney just to put it in the background? I doubt it.

yeah its really difficult to draft something good when you have all 3 sets together. it was so easy to draft a good deck in gatecrash. just grab all the batallion guys for instance. the limited format is now really going to separate the men from the boys.

I think LRR are going to kill in DGM sealed and draft. They've already got experience forcing off-guilds to work (and work well) in RTR and GTC, and that seems to be what DGM forces in these formats.

Does anyone know what the payout would be for DGR drafting on MTGO? When you draft Gatecrash, you got packs of gatecrash. What would you get for drafting all 3?

Picked up a fat pack after seeing Iron Man 3. Didn't get much that I wanted (what am I gonna do with two Obzedat's Aids when I don't play Orzhov, and seriously what the hell Possibility Storm and fuck you Emmara) but at least I got a mythic this time (Council of the Absolute) and two foils.

Though it was funny opening a Tajic pack to find Emmara, and then an Emmara pack to find Melek. Disappointed that I couldn't complete the cycle with the Melek packs. Oh well.

just back from the draft and it went really well. a lot of people struggled to draft something good but i did well i think. didnt draft any bombs but just built around some really solid workers like tithe drinker, maw of the obzedat and some other extort stuff and fliers. won 1st round 2-0 quite easily. 2nd round was an EPIC game of magic. both traded early blows but both ended up with a scary board and neither could attack into the other guy.
i grinded away with extort and him with lobber crew. we both ended up on 1 life and i just needed to top deck ANY spell but it was a land. but game went so long that it was 1 loss and a draw. but i played so well i didnt care.
3rd round started bad, mull and mana screw but rallied in 2nd game and took the 3rd easy enough. MAW was an absolute house for me. i won so many games by just sacing dudes with him and getting my fliers in for lethal.

going through my fat pack now.

If it follows the standard they have used before.

Swiss
1 win Return to Ravnica
2 wins Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash
3 wins Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash Dragonsmaze

4-3-2-2
First Two RTR, one GTC one DGM
Second One of each
Third and Fourth One RTR, one GTC

8-4
First Three RTR, Three GTC, Two DGM
Second Two RTR, one GTC, One DGM

Expect the purchase prices from bots to be roughly
RTR 2.9-3.2 Tickets
GTC 3.4-3.5 Tickets
DGM 3.9-4.25 Tickets
and bots will buy the packs for about half of what they sell them for

From the store they will remain 3.99 for each pack.

I wonder if the backwards draft format will change that (D->G->R instead of the release order of R->G->D).

The LGS I was at said it will be D-G-R, which is normal, latest expansion first, then first expansion last.

Just like two years ago when you drafted the New Phyrexia, followed by Mirrodin Besieged, and ended with Scars of Mirrodin. Or with Innistrad block you did Dark Ascension then two Innistrad

So in DGM you will pick your guild/guilds and grab some gates, then round it out with either gold or support in the other two packs.
